Can't remember what it was on now (something bland) but the reg plate LL04OJJ was pleasingly symmetrical to my eyes.

Could be Luxembourg? Or Guernsey? Definitely not a standard GB plate
Seems it's from Guernsey
From Wikipedia

Guernsey plates consist of up to five digits, with no letters. Plates may be either silver on a black background, or black on the white/yellow backgrounds as in the UK. An oval containing the letters 'GBG' (Great Britain - Guernsey), the island's international vehicle registration, is sometimes included

Not a Luxembourg plate. We have pressed metal plates that must have the EU flag on them. smile

I thought Guernsey plates HAD to display a 'GBG' designation? The '4004' does look good, though.

I saw a local (Luxembourg) plated car last week, with a pretty young thing driving the car, and the plate was "DD 8008". I suspect they could have been DD too, so a good plate! wink

Middle Eastern plate in UK font IIRC.
Doesn't have any Arabic script characters left when 'written' in UK format so you're just left with the numbers.
Could be wrong, but sure it's featured on here before.

They don't have to display 'GBG' on the island and a lot do not when they travel to the mainland. On Guernsey you have the choice of plates the same colour as the UK or silver on black. There are different types of 'GBG' designation that can be used or you can just have it plain.
