Saw HZ1 earlier, spaced as such and comes up on Euro Car Parts. Didn't think we did 'Z' in the UK?
A really interesting one - we have had a few oddities like this. You can have a Z, on a Northern Irish plate. However, this is a Republic of Ireland plate, issued in 1944 by Tyrone. We did not think it was possible for these to be transferred to UK cars after Irish independence in the 1920s, but this joins 'IT 1' as ROI plates spotted (and apparently legally registered) on UK cars.

I was quite confused by it - Spotted in Chichester, West Sussex. The wife thought I was a weirdo for finding it so strange!

(Before you lynch me, I didn't know where else to post this. It's legit so doesn't belong in the other thread).
Surely it did not leave the factory with that Turbo badge? Hugely out of proportion (and somewhat unnecessary).

Oh yes sorry this is a number plate thread. Spaced correctly but I wouldn't class it as real good. Probably would if my name was Kanye though...hehe

I'd guess it's inly going up in value - I suspect there's one or two little boys running around called Kanye now. I'm not sure tyre was as many 17+ years ago so demand will surely increase.

I think it's a nice plate for the right person.

Tyrone is one of the 6 counties of Northern Ireland. Confusing.

Where would '9993 XZ' have been issued? I saw it on a BMW in Nottingam a few weeks back.

No picture, but FOR 541E on an A3 on the A65 near Addingham this morning. Thought it was a demo at first, and would have trade plates, but was actually a legit plate. I think it was an estate agents car.

Here's mine for 541L. Not the best real goods maybe, but fun.

I can only guess they chop and change the plates around a fair bit.

I've seen 2 JCB on a lorry and some exec saloon within weeks of each other.

Ooorrr JCB is very clever at dodging VED.
