How much higher than 5k is that going for?
Surprised the reserve is so high, they're usually laughably low for good plates. I reckon £80k.

....none are real good, but then youve seen V13 DUB which looks less like VEE DUB than either of the others...?
The forum is about "real good" so someone spotting A 1, a legally and properly spaced single single e.g. H 1 worth an utter fortune but on a shagged out Toyota Avensis is where the real kudos is and what this this thread is about.

I do not wish to be rude or piss on your fire in any way. Ultimately, if you're happy then who cares but no, none are "real good" Whether it's V13 DUB, V33 DUB or V333 DUB......they're all the standard DVLA £249 fodder so don't belong here hence my comment about not wishing to go off thread.

Ain't necessarily so. Some cheapo plates that slip through the RADAR can be real good. (And that's final, no negotiation, as this is my thread & I decide hehe)

I do not disagree with that at all! "Real Good" plates that slip through the DVLA net for a low price deserve much respect.

But for me, V13 DUB, V33 DUB, V333 Dub etc. etc. etc are not amongst them! sleep

As a case in point SRO 45T didn't even get a bid in the timed auction the other day.

I would certainly never suggest that our plate was even close to an A1 style plate, and no where near it on price/value, but we have found that V33 DUB on a 'vee double u' amuses plenty of people. Clearly not yourself, but then again I wont lose any sleep over it.

It will be impossible for us all to agree that a "real good number plate" is...? But a plate shouldn't be judged "real good" just because of it's value..!

Shamelessly ripped from another website, but I noticed this pair and thought they looked very well indeed.

I concur smile

Many of the really good, low number plates issued years ago will have just been passed down the family - years ago I saw FR 1 on a scruffy land rover - the chap, caked in cow plop certainly didn't look like a fellow who would write out a six figure cheque for a number plate (but you never know wink)

I agree. I used to see 316 JON regularly near Rochdale on an immaculate E30 316. Just checked and it's now on a 116i Sport.

I'm not sure how good this is considered but it raised a small chuckle with me - a previous shape (facelift) Focus ST in Orange with the registration "AS60 XXX"
