If that's in Ireland, it's perfectly legal font.

Spotted 1DOL in Newcastle yesterday. Looked awesome.
Seem to recall that was on a 959 on an Athena poster years back.

Nice plate. What was it on?
This very one in fact. Once owned by The Patrick Collection. In the text - they incorrectly state the plate as "DOL 1" when it was in fact "1 DOL".

Shirley it shouldn't be silver on black and it should be properly spaced?

Which is why it is in the wrong thread.

So many deluded people who think they are somehow special and then demonstrate to all and sundry that the opposite is true . . .

The parking (on DYLs) compounds this.

I'm guessing that PAO are the guy's initials. Nor corrupted in any way.

He's ok with silver; (lucky blighter). E suffix was '67 and silver/white on black was stopped in '73.

Absolutely correct, it's the car that matters not the plate. It should be black on white.

Do you regret posting this yet laugh how very PH like to piss all over someone else's happiness! Just for the record I think it looks great, and obviously seeing as it's probably not your daily driver (respect if it is!) I really don't see the problem with it - I'm yet to see a Caterham, Aventador, 599 etc with the correct number plates and no-one seems to mind that!

I am not at all expressing a judgement on whether you should have non-legal plates or not, but simply out of curiosity - do you ever get unwelcome stops from the rozzers because of them? Surely its black and white (excuse the pun) that a crime has been committed so its something they can issue a fixed penalty fine for on the spot?

Here in central London I regularly see post-1974 cars carrying black plates (usually as part of an overall 'stealth' look) and with a police car almost always round the corner, clearly they don't bother pulling people for it otherwise there wouldn't be so many people still trying their luck.

Yes you're right (and I had a TVR centre no more than 1/2 a mile from me for 20 years!) Didn't have time to check the car when I posted, but thought today was it really an oldie and on second look it's obviously much too new for silver on black.

Seen quite a few M Reg and later with silver on black that are illegal as well.
