Defiantly worth more than the car then... Sold in April 1999 DVLA Auction for £11,800 + VAT Etc... I would have thought that's at least a £30K + number today...

Last time I saw this was on the east bound M56 a few months back.

It was on a white BMW 320d....

I've spotted this before. I get that underduck is a reference to overfinch but on the back it has one degree on it. Anybody any ideas what that is a reference to?

Interesting post ....... 'V' was the first prefix every issued for the area of Lanarkshire in Scotland - so V48 was the 48th reg number ever issued in this area . I live in Lanarkshire and I have V79 - quite rare for such an old plate to still be in circulation in its original district of issue ........ If that not bizarre enough my neighbour has V78 on his range rover !!!

Most interesting. I'll tell the local owner if ever we shall meet.

As they're neighbours, a photo of the RR V78 and your 911 V79 next to each other would be nice.

One remembers from page 398 of volume 2 -

Perhaps not 'really' good but I do always like to see an originally issued plate still within its original county.
