I remember the Morris Minor and the plate but I can't remember why it was not transferable, can anyone remind me?

Iirc it was simply a case of the Morris Minor had it's original low digit number transferd from the car and DVLA then issued " 1 AN " as a equivalent replacement and they can never be transferd to stop the process been repeated.
