Very cool pair. It may be they got lucky originally with 10 F - an original 1957 issue, and local to them - from Essex CC. They forked out for 1 OF, - £9000 + VAT & Fees in 1996 may have seemed a lot but looks good value now.

Dealer showroom plate? RS 6 is, according to DVLA, on a silver Honda.
R 56?
Not sure, didn't have any other plates on the car. Is it legal to drive with just the dealer plates on?

Does surprise me that more people don't buy similar plates to what they already own.

For example I own a 2x2, lets say it's 12AB, bought at auction. The owner of AB12 didn't go for it, and they're not short of a few bob as they drive around in a recent SL55.

No! There may have been a trade plate lurking on the dash board. Or not.

Remember, we Audi drivers don't have to concern ourselves with trivial driving laws that apply to the plebs.

Sorry, no photo, but spotted in Farnborough recently...

CA11 SDB

Nothing 'real good' about it in and of itself, but it was on a liveried VW Caddy van. The company name was "Surrey Design and Build", so CA11 SDB seemed a pretty darned good plate in the circumstances.
