Are there any reall good (I know it's subjective) original issue plates that has been on the car from new? Has there been a thread about this?

Oh, I think there are plenty - motor museums are a good starting place, they don't tend to capitalise on the plates. Here are a few single-single; in fairness, I think the Roller may be on it's second car, as I think the VCC plate says it's a 1906 car but the plate was issued in 1904:- (edit, for some reason the uploads only display one photo so I'll post the others as additional posts)

That would almost certainly break the current record if it were to be released onto the market, for obvious reasons.

Not entirely sure it belongs here, but I saw

RAC 15M today (correctly spaced), ironically on a white van.

Was this an original issue or a DVLA sale? If the latter, I'm not convinced it was a brilliant idea.

For me it belongs here. 1972 issue I think. Takes a bit of bottle to drive round with I'd say.
