A long shot I know but I am looking for the current owner of 9 KPL (according to DVLA it is a 90s Silver XJ6). This was the original number on my 1960 Aston Martin. The two parted company when the car went to the States in in early 2000s. I bought her on her return to the UK in 2010 and am looking to reunite her with her original number. If any numberplate spotters on this forum can put me in touch with the owner I would be very grateful. Many thanks.

There's a 911 LEE near me. Used to be on a 911 but the last time I saw it I think it was on a Cayenne.

Oh, that would be a great move. Always good to see classics with their original number. Tough to find though - assume you did not sell privately, or your first port of call would be that person?

How can you find out when and how much a plate has sold for?

I know Kevin Lynch had several single digit KPL numbers, but whether he retained them is another matter!

EH 7, perfectly represented on a rough looking Renault 5 5 door.

Reg check comes out as a 1986 Renault 5 TL 1.1, still with its original owner from new. Sadly no pic; but got these two less interesting ones:
