Had a chat with the owner of plate RON 78 today in the pub.
It just so happens that in our 10 min chat he was aged 78 and purchased the plate in 1962-3 (He wasn't sure). He Paid £70 in 1962-63 and is currently on a tatty Peugeot 106 blue in colour.
He was quite aware that it's worth several more £££ than his car and he told me only recently what someone offered. The price he told me was way more than I had in mind and I sat there
"I bet he's told a few stories" ... Any guesses what he said? Or anyone know what it's asking price would be?
I know it's not the most exciting of plates,but him being aged 78 I thought was a nice story... His name Ron by the way
