C4EAP ironically on a brand new Range Rover.
1 WTR on a Bentley Mulsanne.

It was spaced correctly to be fair.
I liked the irony.

A nice number for an engineer. It was on nothing special - oldish Toyota type thing, I think.

EA51 OUT

[EDIT: I've just checked the plate on TfL. It didn't look like a Lexus IS300 to me eek]

just seen a X 4 on a old shape Clio

it made no sense to me, that number plate has to be worth some serious money, a few hundred 000's

Better that than having it on a retention certificate.

As has been said so many times before, some of these very valuable plates owe the owner nothing but they wouldn't part for sentimental reasons or, they like plates more than they do cars.

There's a very modest Audi A4 in Nottingham rust wears the plate 'VAL 1' - been in the owners family for years and he'd never part for sentimental reasons.

Taken from the fairly short-lived "Expensive plates on cheap cars" thread, as I thought it could be of interest here:

I remember about ten years ago seeing a fairly naily white 205 with the plate "N4"

My mate's dad also had an old Discovery with UL7. His uncle bought a 1930s Bentley 8 litre which he exported to Canada, and left the plate here on retention. I vaguely remember being driven around in it (the Bentley, that is, although I went in the Disco many times as well!), must have been ~20 years ago....

...ah yes, this is the one:

If it was on a Clio around Wilmslow I posted it on here a while ago - and thought the same as you. Still, looked pretty good.

@fun_bus defiantly the case.

@speedball Yes! seen it in Wilmslow, I thought it was Stolen/cloned car with fake number plates fitted at first glance.
