Looks as if a donkey has had a nibble on the corner of that bull bar.

A while ago a couple in Wiltshire by the name of Lamb had "his & hers". BAA and LAM. Both local numbers at that time

Does his first name really begin with a "U"
Does it need to? Just a nice old plate.
Not that old,May 2013 £2300..!
Seriously? I thought that those plates were issued back in the 50's as they reversed the letter/number to number/letter when they ran out of combinations of the former?

I thought U 9 was original issue. I'd be amazed if any single singles sold for that sort if money in 2013 - where's that info from?

Your all getting confused, £2300 refers to 12 UT on the RRS a few pages back.

He is I'm not, but my post isn't well written, should have put letter/letter + number/number etc..

Not sure how 'real good' this actually is, vanity/personal plates are not my thing really. But the double/double format plates do look nice on a car, and are growing on me. Maybe I actually am mellowing with age?

You must be! I love these, especially the original rare ones like this. 1904, Dundee.
Local to me, plate belongs to Tracy Standish.

I suspect you're particularly interested in what this eventually goes for then! Has their been anything similar in recent years? The number of perfect name plates must be incredibly small, particularly when they're popular names.

If you don't mind me asking, when did you purchase? In my mind I seem to think I was early teens perhaps, so around late 80s/early 90s?

Although yours will always remain out of my price range, I did almost get 7 CRG some years ago before the trail went cold. I saw it on a Range Rover in Stratford upon Avon last year at a LR franchise and left my number with the manager to offer to the owner but it didn't ever come to anything. Still wish I'd gotten that one.

Spaced correctly, it would be the perfect plate for a Mr Steven Coogan Esq wink.

I quite like the idea of plates that resemble Roman numerals..
