Local person to me has one those 'plate worth more than the car' registrations.

Saw FIJ1 (mis-spaced) on a 7 series around Hampstead, but not coming up on any reg checks?
Assume that's a diplomatic plate?

Many foreign embassies have acquired personalised plates from historic British car numbering systems, for example, ........., FIJ 1 (Fiji),

Thai Ambassador has THA 1.

Saw it recently on an old & very tidy Mercedes 190 travelling the M25

Here you are.
I'd question the presence of mis-spacing there... borderline if anything. Perhaps a few millimetres shaved off but thats about it. I'd expect the 1 to be right next to the J if the space had been omitted (like in the example image below)

Visually, they've benefitted a lot from the fact that J's have innately got their vertical component offset to the right so much, giving the overall plate a perceived appearance of balance (even without blatant mis-spacing).

Lovely.

Edit... pity about the lack of a BSAU145d reference, rendering all my above observations and praise immaterial!

Personalised to annoy those who don't know the law - tick

[edit: it may not be legal as he may have foolishly left off the post code and BS markings]

I got the pic from a Registration Sales site, but it's on the Fourdot (manufacturers) gallery too and legal with Postcode, BS etc. I've had some made too, slightly more overboard, I'm pushed for time at the moment but will take some pics when I can and put them up for a bit of critical appraisal.laugh

I imagine this one will already be in the RGNP archive, but I saw it in Green Park an hour or two back and took a quick (and frankly, terrible!) snap:

Do we know whose it is?
