Thanks, I'd guessed by the symmetry and that that the photo's we took were within 50m of each other that there was a connection.

I would say no.

The sad thing is that that could be displayed correctly, and be awesome.

But they've had to get a plate made up incorrectly, and not showing the supplier / postcode and all the other stuff it's supposed to have.

Police /DVLA should revoke that, and re-auction it.

And they're on double yellows.
IMHO a 'bad' plate is one which requires dodgy fonts, black screws to misrepresent letters and dyslexic spelling.

A BSI markings and with the spacing a few mm out isn't worth worrying about.
As I said, that plate could be correctly made and still be awesome. I'm not bothered about whether it has the postcode on it or not - but the fact that it doesn't have backs up the fact that it has been blatantly mis-spaced.

Had it been made correctly, on the same car, how many would say, "yeah that's great... But it would be even better if they ran all the letters together to make it say WHI5KEY"?

Probably been asked before, but how do you find out how much plates have sold for?

http://dvlaregistrations.direct.gov.uk/search/previous-auction-plates.html

Only ones which have been sold off at DVLA auction... so won't show original issues. Or the price that a plate has been 're-sold' at since.

And you need to use a 'space' when searching for a complete plate

If it was spaced like that there's nothing 'real good' about it.

I saw 49 GT or similar on an Up! this morning.

Putting 49 GT into the AskMid website shows it on an Audi so I've remembered it wrong but it was awesome to see a 70 year old woman rolling around (slowly) in her Up! with a 2x2 plate!!

I've seen so many short plates over the last couple of days:

1 ES on an Overfinch Range Rover in Camden.
1 JG on a Rolls Royce Wraith in Regents Park.
JDP 1 on a Focus in Mayfair.
PCX 1 on a 5.0 Jaguar XF on the M1.
WLP 1 on a Peugeot 5008, also on the M1.
1 HPV on a Merc Vito in Baldock.
1 PTB on a Range Rover in Southwark.
22 H on a Mulsanne in Mayfair.
47 L on a Porsche Macan near Tower Bridge.

Also saw 53NNA on a BMW 225d on Tower Bridge.
