I did a track day with Steve Parrish as an instructor. He still owned PEN 15 at the time & quipped that the missus had FAN 1E

I've seen that yellow 458 spider posing around town with that awful numberplate.

The driver definitely looked like he was called Garie, spelled badly!

It sold for £10K + VAT Etc in Sep 1991.......! That's nearly 25 years ago......!

Although it is the actual car used by "Brett Sinclair" in "The Persuaders", it is a showplate. The owner of the car has tried to buy the plate, but the current "owner" won't sell.

In the 70s, when the show was being made, the plate was owned by Billy Smart. The plate was sold after his death.
