A road going Airbus... Hugely comfortable, Extraordinarily fast, but you'd have more fun in a microlight.

It just is. There is no need for a car to have all that power and tech.

But the world is a better place because it exists.

"Need" is irrelevant for most of us, let alone a potential buyer of this car. "want" on the other hand is what we are dealing with. If you want it all, then this is for you.

I love Brabus. And this one seems to have already elicited the "tasteless", "tacky" comments already.

Job done biggrin

that is ridiculously amazing. Crap & tacky wheels though but they will appeal to the intended market. But that interior is gorgeous, who needs a house when you could sleep in that!

Personally I'd say it's no more pointless than any other very high performance car. You have to say it's extravagant and somewhat unnecessary, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't exist. As philanthropy doesn't seem as popular as it used to be we need these means of releaving the rich of their cash so that it recirculates into the economy. smile

Put some 18 inch wheels on it and ditch front splitter and it'd be quite a handsome car, IMO.

All that power, all that tech and it still looks like someone bought a £50 over the headrest DVD holder.
yes

Looks terrible, very 'afterthought' looking.

This car makes me sad. Its going to be happiest blasting up and down the autobahns, ferrying 'captains of industry' between industrial Bavarian cities.

In reality, in the UK at least, it will be used to shuttle morons around the plushy areas of West London and Essex using not even a 10th of its ability frown - Im mainly just jealous of course. I love a stupidly high powered barge.

Is it just me or do these remind anyone else of 90's MOMO alloys?

Because they can't see what it's for? What is it for? Russian oligarchs who only have a single garage and thus can't have both a luxo-barge and a 911 turbo so have to settle on a one-car compromise? What is the use case for a massive, heavy luxury car for which an S63 AMG is not fast enough?

I guess it isnt pointless if someone buys them, that is why Mercedes exist, to sell cars, as a limo that someone else drives 850 bhp is extreme overkills, limos are about being driven about in comfort, acceleration should be adequate and smooth to speeds that fit in with prevailing speed limits, dont think most Chaeuffers tend to drive at vastly over the speed limit as pretty quickly they wouldnt end up without a license, and therefore a job. If you bough this kind of car to drive yourself, well, you probably wouldnt as its geared to rear seat passengers, who knows, them make them and someone buys them.

I think pretty much every S class ever made would fulfil the limno brief very well, even back to bog spec diesel ones and S280's, this is wonderfully barking but I ersonally would be happier with a more discreet conveyance and 300 bhp would be all it every needed, that was the Rolls Royce thing, Power Output : Adequate, passengers dont really want or need to know as long as it whisks them along comfortably, most dont want neck strain and terror, apart from weirdos like us on here.

Performace wise good.

But I just dont see the point of all the apple stuff. It's going to be out of date in 6 months time so god only knows why you would want it built into a car....in fact I couldnt think of anything worse attached to a car.

I love this car. In the day and age where AMG are pumping out ludicrously over the top cars, it brings a smile to my face to see that Brabus can still go a step further.

My wife has a new shape smart brabus convertible and is very pleased with the quality, solid drive and extra power over the standard car (which some people also say is pointless in such a car and takes away from what it was made for ??).. if the owner likes it and it puts a smile on their face then fair play i say smile
