ok, it's based on a Ferrari so Mansory wanted to give it an italian name.
But at least he should have just checked the dictionary: "Revoluzione" does not even exist in italian (or in any other langauage btw): it should be "Rivoluzione". Same horrific, but at least not so moronic.

I know these are petty things, and few customers speak Italian, but it drives me nuts that people release a new product to the press and don't even make the effort of spellchecking the product's name. the NAME for c***st sake, not the small text of the press release! THE NAME!
Funny, I thought the name could be pretty much anything you wanted it to be. Manufacturers have been changing and spelling of and inventing names since time and memorial. Nothing new there.

I can't believe they managed to make such an error. Being Italian I almost feel offended :-) I hope they choose the name trying to mix the italian word with the English one or the Spanish one, purposefully choosing a word that doesn't exist...

About the car...I am not against heavy tuning car makers, I do appreciate Ruf cars a lot for instance but I can't say the same about Mansory, it does look like a ruined F12 and among the worst ways to flush 1m.

Is this a joke? In what was is it tasteful (except to Arabs or footballers etc)? Restrained and understated? Have you seen the bodykit and spoiler on it? vomit
I agree here for Mansory they have restrained themselves. Also EVO were questioning if they shouldn't make as many jokes about them.... What if they hadn't messed around with the engine and lighten the car even more?

I fail to believe the Mansory of today, with their absolute mastery when it comes to CF, sell cars with gaffer tape and whatnot under the skin. They simply wouldn't exist if that were the case.

It would be nice if PH actually pulled a finger out and went to see their factory and maybe speak to Mr. Mansory himself, rather than use the brand as a source of ridicule and click bait.

wink
Not that the car is my cup of tea but I think PH can ridicule as can all of us. It wont make their core customers change their decision to buy one.

I for one think Ferrari do enough to the car to make it desirable and god only knows what these will look like in 40 years. The original will be a museum piece where as this Mansory addition will be amusing.

Everything is relative. Yes, compared to most other cars it is a crime against good taste, but compared to this:

Hidden for the more sensitive and good taste...

I love the way that Mansory think they know aerodynamics better than Ferrari.

Anyone notice that they've removed the little air deflectors on top of and behind the front wing? Yeah, don't need them, just for show i'm sure...

But Mansory time after time try to be laughed at, I guess. Maybe they sell cars to people that are happy to buy the most insulse thing that can be made out of a great car just because they can. I don't see any reason wanting to spend 1.2m on this.
They could have stopped at the bodywork to make things a little less worse, trying to convince how good crafted all that carbon body panels are. But adding 2 turbos, come on...if they would manage to get 1200hp without destroying the engine they should upagrade transmission and cooling accordingly adding a lot more weight and complexity, it is ridicolous at least...

If i was that rich i would love the TT conversion, and the colour, but the kit is just a bit much for my tastes.

Ignoring the obvious taste issues, I'm having a hard time believing their power figures.

730bhp to 1200 bhp, a 64% increase

509lbs/ft to only 656lbs/ft though, just 29% up on standard

Has there ever been a road car with such a low quoted torque figure compared to the headline power output?

Is it even possible to increase power by such a large amount without upping the torque more significantly?

Ha, I noticed that too. Mansory may have their own autoclave so they can bake off carbon panels to clad cars that someone else has done all the hard work engineering, but I'm not aware that they have a wind tunnel in their backyard yet? - "Don't like the look of those Aero Bridge thingy's... let's stick a huge spoiler on the back, that'll work much better..."

I like the colour. It's odd however how the bodywork makes a car with ridiculously big wheels look under-wheeled (if that's a real word).

Yes, yet again lovely to see the purity of form that the original designers strive for, being subtly enhanced for consumption by those with much better taste then the original manufacturer (and I guess much of the World with 20/20 vision)

Perhaps they could go retro next?

There are many cars with invented names (normally quite stupid sounding, like Mondeo, Touran, Sharan, Vectra, etc), but in this case the name has to mean something, hence the article "La" before the name.

If you called a car Corrado or Camry you would be a boring corporate exec who can only think in a committee, but if you called it "Tuor da Franse" instead of Tour de France, or Scudderio instead of Scuderia, you would be a pathetic idiot whose financial success stains the validity of capitalist principles.

And even if it's not to your taste, you have to appreciate the skill in creating those carbon panels.
This. I think it looks great, personally, I would have launched it in a different colour (metallic grey), but each to their own.

At the ripe old age of 28, I fear I'm now getting to the point of being "old and uncool". The author used the word "natch" part way through the article. I'm afraid to say I haven't got the foggiest idea what this means? I'm assuming this is some hip new slang term the kids are using? Would anybody care to enlighten me?

Okay, I see the point you're trying to make. Perhaps they're being a little cheeky then. Either way, they probably thought the name they ended up going with lent itself better to the English semi-speaking world.

Why I'm making excuses for Mansory I don't know. Hopefully they'll send me some money for all this positive PR.

I'm not ridiculing. I have seen some of Mansory's handiwork up close and very personally. I am a fan of some of their stuff. Interior carbon work is phenomenal (not entirely sure they do it all themselves though...)

When you've seen 10 'identical' cars side by side in pieces, let me know.

The F12 is really beautiful.

Masonary have taken one, sent it to McD's for 3 months then hit it with a sledge hammer.
But it is gnarly dood and well nice all wrapped into one.

Hennessey seem to be better and have an ability to pimp cars but in a more subtle yet aggressive manner.
