Just watched the Fordwater trophy, great fun. The angle of lean on that 250TdF is hilarious!
Yeah, amazing seeing the triumph-engined Morgan vs the V12 Ferrari! The St Mary's Cup and the TT should be really good, when can I book for next year..?

Well done Chris, looking forward to reading the write-up.
And that Healey, never expected a Healey to take on a 300SL and thrash it completely - even after two spins!
Indeed, must go next year. Just watched the late 50s F1 cars. Very special event!

Looks like Harris came dead last. biggrin
He did take good care to stay out of the way of the fast machines when he got lapped, though. Terrific racing on the live feed, the saloons being the most spectacular. Seeing the Minis dicing it out with the monster Ford Galaxies is something to behold.

Watching now.

Bloody hell - right now Harris is tucked up behind Sean Alesi in his Ferrari and looking to pass !

Did Chris ever dream that this was ever going to happen ? Well done, fella. smile

When Harris took the lead and then ran onto the grass on the exit of the chicane, I thought he was going to lose it....

I can imagine he needs new trousers now.

He's a tidy driver thats for sure. This is great , once in a lifetime stuff. Well done chap.

That Aston was walking on water, fair play to them. What a race! The No.7 Ferrari 250LM was a fking liability though

Harris was in 4th-5th place in the opening laps, ending up leading the race towards the end of his stint. He stayed out long, coming in for the driver change just as a safety car phase started due to an E-type stuck in the gravel trip. Reid took over as the heavy rain started to come down. He led by 11 seconds tip-toeing in the standing water when the Aston Martin Project 212 made up 5 seconds in one lap.

Reid let him pass thinking he was one lap down. When he figured it out, he tried to make up time again and spun out with one lap to go. Reid kept going, securing 2nd place.

Monkey grinned like a little boy at Christmas at the finish line.

And now the live feed is stuck banghead

Chris Harris...motoring journalist and driving god. Dead unlucky not to win....that's racing I guess. I reckon someone will have the classic car bug after this year what with the Mille Miglia and now this....what a job you have sir. Huge respect given you aren't a professional racer and haven't driven the track in anger before.
