I've noticed a couple of comments regarding the battery not lasting long when stood? Any more info on this?
I do have a ctek charger/tender if required.
I didn't have that problem with mine. I left it stood at LAX airport for 3 weeks while I was back in the UK and it started up instantly, no issues.I've noticed a couple of comments regarding the battery not lasting long when stood? Any more info on this?

Got it!
First impression are good, ride better than expected. Don't know what some road testers were moaning about.
Loads of tech to play with.
28 mpg on 100 mile drive home
It has brand new Nokian winter tyres all round which is kinda ok I guess but I suppose proper all season or summer would be better. They were quiet enough on motorway but a bit more roar round town. Or maybe that's normal?
Any way I've got a full days cleaning ahead....plenty of fallout, tar etc on paint but nothing I can't shift. I enjoy the process of making a car mine with a good clean in and out.

Thanks.
It's a 60 reg from an indie so no warranty. It's only done 46k miles so I'm hopeful it will be ok.
Only thing I'm not blown away with is the gearbox. It doesn't misbehave really but is kinda lazy I suppose. I notice it particularly from a standstill where a gentle start seems to take a moment.
According to others though the gearbox is a bit odd so im not alone.
Good car though.

The gearbox fitted to the FX can be a little frustrating to use, it often wants to shift into a high gear very early under light throttle presumably for reasons of fuel economy. It can also often hunt between gears sometimes feeling a little confused about what's required of it. It works best when giving it the beans or of course you could use the paddle shift function.
I like th Colour, what Colour is the interior?

Your pics make me miss my FX, striking car and always a head turner. I moved on to a Lexus RX450h only because Infiniti after sales is patchy, warranty issues and most importantly no new model to replace the FX with (QX70 being same car really).
I also remember gearbox surprisingly slow especially if you are trying to do a quick 3 point turn.
Otherwise great car they just need to step up in terms of dealer service and new models. May well come back if they replace QX70 with a new similarly striking model.
I Still miss it way more fun then a Lexus and that is how they should market it- Japanese engineering and German driveability.

Swings and roundabouts for the used buyer of course. The 5 yrs old ones look just like the new ones which is handy for us poor folk!
I think they are an interesting looking car and therefore a head turner but I seem quite invisible to most other people. I suppose there are so many SUVs about that it's hard to stand out. Blending in can be OK though!
