I will have the HRT driven by Skaife at Bathurst thanks!
There's a big big difference between a track day commodore and an ex Group A or V8 Supercar. http://v8sleuth.com.au/classifieds/

If you go to my105.com.au there is usually a Group A or V8 supercar or two as well. But the maintenance is $$$$$$. The preparation to track it is $$$$$$$$. And, the skill level you need to punt a V8 Supercar around a track is at a minimum, semi professional race driver level. As a track day car, I'd go the one in the article.
Mind you, up to 18 months ago you could by a mid 2003 to 2005 V8 Supercar for $50k. Now there's a buy!

On the lotto stakes though I's buy an XJS V12 and sent it to Tom Walkinshaw with a blank cheque.
Might be a while before you get it back. He died in 2010.http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/front_page/9280301...

Is there enough of it for an SVA/IVA?
.
sent it to Tom Walkinshaw with a blank cheque. Remembering what his guys did in the 80's and imagining how technology has moved on what they could do with one now.

With his financial reputation, probably bank it, transfer the funds to a separate company, then declare bankrupt and leg it .

A lot of fun :-)
But most people don't know just how good even the sporty 6 cylinder Holden Commodore (SS) is. They have heaps of get up and go, handle well in a powerful rear drive sense and are relatively economical when you're not thrashing them. I wish they'd export them to the US and Canada, oven the UK.
