RE: Caterham AeroSeven Concept
Discussion
I worked for Caterham through the 90's (and was therefore present whilst the 21 was introduced) - this is awful! I was never a fan of the 21 to be honest though it was quite pretty - it's REALLY difficult trying to sell ugly cars like this though - however competent they may be.
I do worry about this as a direction. Caterham (as was) were good at one thing - derivatives of the Seven - even that's not easy. I'm pretty sure that the AeroSeven doesn't really move things on.

Not happy at all about the front end -- from the pictures it just seems there is no aerodynamic or other justification for this mess. IMO they've overdone the "Dyson on wheels look" so that even people usually impressed by this sort of stuff don't find it attractive. Rest of the car looks pretty good to me, so there is hope.
Also not so much interested in the type of car. Looks like just another track toy a la 211, Atom, Mono, X-Bow, etc... Not sure the world has waited with held breath for Caterham's take on this. I'd find it more interesting if they were working on a modern successor / complement to the 7. As brilliant as they are there is no denying the 7 is held back by poor aero performance.
