I really like the car but isnt it a pro-touring car as america call it where they strip out old muscle car and rebuild it with new modern suspesion/engine/interior.
yes and they are far cheaper and have some genuine heritage..My personal fave is the Year One Bandit edition Trans Am. Looks like the one from Smokey and the Bandit but has all new undercrackers. They take an original 1977 car and re-build from the ground up with a spaceframe front end, modern suspension, huge brakes, crate engine and much much more.. The 700HP version is fast enough to blow away most supercars; I just need to find $100,000!
as below... beautiful

Bass . . . silly. Boss would be Chief or Ace or whatever rubbish. But . . . Bass?
I asked the company and will get back with their reply.
Ford produced the "Boss 302", so Equus calling it the "Boss 770" was likely to cause legal problems, and "Chief" and "Ace" both sound just as silly but don't provide the aural link.I asked the company and will get back with their reply.

Equus is indeed the Hyundai luxury car brand, but this thing is a Mustang is it not and doesn't really share much with your average Hyundai. However, it is a car with a horse (mustang) as the emblem. Equus is also the method of communicating with horses via gestures and body language. It fits quite nicely. As for the Bass, this isn't so clear... perhaps a reference to low tones as opposed to 'drum and bass'...
It also seems to light up just one rear wheel, just like the old mustang from Bullit!
I looked at the specs on their website, and despite saying it has a magnetic ride system and electronic traction control, I suspect it does not have a Limited Slip Rear diff!
Good luck putting 700 horses down with that config
Also why is the whole drive train so massive, it looks like it was built from a Volvo Truck drivetrain!

I really want to hate this car.
But 2 things stop me from doing so.
1) If you gave me a blank sheet of paper when I was 15 to design a new car it might have com out looking like this. Therefore as immature and unsophisticated as it may be I kind of like the enthusiasm that must have created it.
2)It lets anyone who wants the whole muscle car image and wants to splash the cash do so without destroying another original in a Boyd Coddington style caricature of the original. Coming to a hip hop video near you soon.
HOWEVER...
If I heard that Equus were planning a retro fighter plane using a Spitfire wing, Focke Wulf FW190 Radial engine & nose and a Messerschmidt BF109 tail I would not be surprised.
Too much pastiche, not enough 'omage!
