Looks like they were trying to block him in, one idiot certainly was and you can see him braking while looking back to get on his bumper.

Certainly stupid behaviour starting it off and to be honest if I was surrounded by hundreds of bikers blocking me in I wouldn't feel too comfortable and want to get out of there asap.

I just can't understand how that started. Does the driver start blasting his horn at the bikers? Stupid behaviour from them to try and roll him to a stop, presumably intimidating him as well, then countered with more stupidity (and a healthy dose of adrenaline no doubt) from the driver.

Were those bikers _trying_ to get themselves killed?

Wow.

Looks like one or two bikers got into it and brake checked him. I thought he had hit the white bike but looks like he just avoided that one. Not defending the RR driver but unless there is more to this story it looks like he/she was surrounded by a bunch and panicked.

It never ceases to amaze me how bikers mess with cars, no matter who is in the right you are going to come of second best. Unfortunately someone lost their life for no good reason, what a waste.

On another note the amount of bare flesh amongst that group of riders made me itch.

Agree with the above, as we dont know what happened first, then really the reasons for the following action arent known.

Not found a news story that links to it but a post on liveleak mentions Range Rover driver ended up beaten into a coma. Again this this from a liveleak post so not gospel!

It would certainly appear that the bikers were trying to stop the car and brake tested him, as to why the aggression in the first place, who knows at the moment?

Serves everyone of those bikers right that he killed one of them, I'd have done exactly the same in that situation, there's nothing like safety in numbers.

The guy must have been petrified being chased by them all.

The fact they think they can force a range rover to stop on a bike in that situation shows how small minded and stupid they are.

Victim here is the range rover driver not the dead biker

Probably similar to the thug mentality that goes on during the idiotic "Critical Mass" cycle events.

Agreed. Not sure what happened leading up to it, but if someone is running to my door whilst I'm blocked in to try and get me out of the car or whatever that biker was trying to do, I'd be full throttling it the hell out of there too...

Good to see the YouTube comments up to the usual high standards too - they really are the ahole of the internet.

Oh great, lets make the leap from motorcycles and 4x4's in NYC to pushbikes in the UK. Prat.

It's very insensative to say anyone should have died. Especially without knowing the full facts.

We do not know what happened before the clip started, why the bikers were trying to stop the Range Rover in the first place etc.

Yes, it was stupid of the bikers to try and stop a much larger vehicle in that manner, and yes it was likely scary as hell for the driver to be surrounded like that. Difficult situation for all, made much worse by the actions taken by both parties.

Barely believable really. One should never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

There's a way to deal with disagreements on the road, and it's to just call the Police if it's serious enough and not egging each other on to act like they're in some movie.

The car trapped at the end by traffic and helmet through the window seemed to indicate that the driver didn't get away unharmed.

Unfortunate that someone died, and also that the video was from so far away (can't see what was actually happening), but if I were in that position and felt that I or my family was threatened, I'd probably have done the same as the range rover driver.
