Agreed. I wanna know what happened next.
Apparently the driver was badly beaten. I'd have been on the way to the nearest cop shop or have driven until I found a police car. Usually you see quite a few cop cars around?

Looks like one or two bikers got into it and brake checked him. I thought he had hit the white bike but looks like he just avoided that one.
At around 27s it sounds like there is a crunch.

I'd hazard a guess that before that there is some kind of minor incident like him honking them to get past or something which the guy on the white bike took offence to. When he brake tested and got bumped it escalated and then when the rr driver panicked and hit bikes while speeding away things obviously got out of hand.

Pack mentality in action and I can see how scarily easy it'd be to get caught up in too (for either party)

regardless of the how and why, the mentality it must take to brake test 2.5 tons of range rover on a motorbike is just mindblowing.

If that was me there would be a few more dead bikers, I would have been terrified and would have done what ever took t get them off my arse, quite rightly so as well when you see the outcome of them catching up with him.

What ever the guy had done it did not deserve that, if his crime was knocking one of a bike earlier due to bad driving or something by all means call the cops and follow him or take his number. That though was just crazy behaviour.

Probably similar to the thug mentality that goes on during the idiotic "Critical Mass" cycle events.
Oh great, lets make the leap from motorcycles and 4x4's in NYC to pushbikes in the UK. Prat.
To be fair I think he's just refering to mob mentality that occurs when you get a large group of people together. It's a well recognised and heavily studied area of psychology - strange things occur in large groups. Normal law abiding citizens experience a sense of deminished responsibilty and behave out of character - see most riots.

fwiw I think Critical Mass events are large;y populated by absolute tts, but that's a different thread.

My comment is only my view/guess but looks like the first bikers went in front of the RR to slow it or even stop it to allow all there biker mates past in one go. This angered/scared the RR driver how wanted out of this situation?

Why do the bikers think they have the ability to stop traffic?

I think being harrassed by a 'gang' of bikers like that a lot of the general public would have done the same, this footage will surely only benefit the driver of the Range Rover?

Serves everyone of those bikers right that he killed one of them, I'd have done exactly the same in that situation, there's nothing like safety in numbers.

The guy must have been petrified being chased by them all.

The fact they think they can force a range rover to stop on a bike in that situation shows how small minded and stupid they are.

Victim here is the range rover driver not the dead biker
It's very insensative to say anyone should have died. Especially without knowing the full facts.

We do not know what happened before the clip started, why the bikers were trying to stop the Range Rover in the first place etc.

Yes, it was stupid of the bikers to try and stop a much larger vehicle in that manner, and yes it was likely scary as hell for the driver to be surrounded like that. Difficult situation for all, made much worse by the actions taken by both parties.
I still stand by my opinion, my sensitivity and sympathy for the dead biker went when he became part of a mob pack that surrounded one guy in his car leading them to panic.

If I was in the same situation as the RR driver I'm fairly certain that there would have been more dead bikers than 1

It highlights the mob mentality, and safety in numbers, those bikers were out to hurt someone, and knew that there was very little risk of personal injury to themselves other than being knocked off their bikes. Which is what every one of them deserved

I was bullied at school, and it was always by a group, never an individual, it's why my opinion of this incident is biased towards the range rover driver being the victim and not the dead biker

Imagine how you would be feeling if you had your kids in the back... I would absolutely do the same, then drive up the speps of a police station. He did well not to take out more bikes.

Don't know what happened before, but it looks like the bikes were riding like a bunch of tts. Whatever the RR driver did before the film, and given that the white bike thought it was a good idea to brake check him that close, I suspect it was nothing major, they were riding like idiots.

Frankly, as a biker myself, they white bike got what he deserved. Brake checking a car, especially one that big, on a sports bike, is going to get you killed.

They were riding all over the road, no respect for other road users. What a bunch of tts.

I don't think the comparison to critical mass is apt.

The difference between this and critical mass is that motorcyclists will condemn these bikers for there actions, and these were presumably not guys out to cause disruption. Critical mass are trying to cause disruption and you get attacked by cyclists for any criticism of them.

Whenever you see people in riding in groups, there's a 82% chance they'll be riding like dicks. When you see them riding in large groups of 10+, that percentage shifts to 99%.

Lets be fair... Cars are just as bad. Just take a look at the way some people act driving to Le Man.

Anyone in a group, riding, driving, tourists in tour groups, people drinking on a Friday, has a much higher chance of being a tt than on there own.

Really hope they round up every one of the bds and through the book at them, they ignored every rule of the road, terrified and no doubt beat that range rover driver.

Bunch of fking idiots taken over by the "we can do what we want" mob mentality.

Never ever when you need one, only when you're speeding.

I want to know what happened leading up to this, it could have been anything so too early to judge - he could have been a gangland boss, drug dealer etc....
