They also need to cull most of the members of their freakshow forum. Reflects very badly on the brand.
Is it because you were banned from there... matteeboy. Weren't you also banned from Scoobynet??

I'm sure my leaving evo came as a surprise to many but I felt it was time to move on and just as launching evo proved to be an irresistible opportunity all those years ago, I'm about to embark on another one. One which I can't talk about just yet but will be able to very soon...
Tell us it is cars and not boats at least. Your initials are HM and not HMS let me point out. We don't want to see you walking around some narrow boat telling us about the tiller or draught or using your mother in law to pull it through tunnels....

smile

All the best Harry.

You are launching your own car? Or perhaps helping to bring TVR back to life?

I'd be interested to know Harry's thoughts on the future of print - can a physical magazine alone compete or are digital alternatives and online content absolutely necessary? Is it easier to sell a physical magazine to this particular market (car enthusiasts)?

well done for sticking your head above the parapets so to speak H, i made my feelings clear earlier in the thread but it's worth saying once again that hopefully it's not completely the end of your online videos, i think you'll agree you have a few fans out there smile

all the best with the new venture thumbup

Loved the content and enthusiasm of Harry's vids but have to say I wished they were a bit better produced.....I enjoy his for the content as much as I enjoy Chris Harris's but Monkey's are much better produced. I remember thinking when he had the Aston One-77 that was such a unique piece that it really deserved some proper production.

Be very interested to see what he does next.

I'm glad they're not. I liked the honesty/friendliness of the videos.
Add in slick production values and the 'approachability' is lost.

As a reader since issue 2 I cab say that Evo is a fantastic magazine and I always look forward to it arriving each month.

It was apparent at the beginning that everyone involved loved cars and that passion created a really fresh take on motoring journalism.

I loved David Yu's monthly updates on how Godzilla Mk1 was attempting to bankrupt him.
Loved Jethro's project ring 8minute attempts with an M3.
Harry appeared to be the perfect guiding hand and I hope that Evo does not lose it's original ethos in the future.

Best of luck with the new venture Harry.

Thanks for the many years of happy article writings and video presenting. Good luck in your new ventures.

My favourite video was the Ferrari 330 GT 2+2. I love that car. thumbup

Thanks for posting on here Harry, many congratulations on all your achievements with Evo and best of luck with the new venture.

I have a suggestion for the name of the Evo App:

'A dab of Appo'
