Dear CORVETTE, Ferrari would like a word with you in privet?
Dear Corvette or Dear Callaway? Or are you hedging your bets here?
Yes, let's not beat around the bush.
Does it still have those leaf springs?
Roots supercharger?

It worked on the old Stingray, so why not?

The above conversion was quite popular in the US in the 1970s, and dare I say it, it still looks kinda cool.

I'd prefer a shorter wheelbase:

At last, someone's made a real version of the pink panthers car (remember that), I genuinely want one!

Nothing nasty about it, but to call it a 'Wagon'......rofl You coudn't fit Dawn French's G string in the back of that!
Given that the standard C6 has a 636 litre boot (big enough, from experience, to take two people's bags, two rifles and a road bike) and the C7's isn't far different, two questions spring to mind:

(i) what's the point of this AeroWagon (pretty though it is, relative to the C7 - or is that just the effect of a good colour?); and

(ii) why do you bother posting something that proves your lack of knowledge? No sports car/supercar has a boot more than half the size of the Corvette's (more's the pity - I wish more such cars offered similar GT practicality so that I have more options if I move on).

I think the answer to both points (I) and (ii) above is "people are idiots".

Like this a lot as it's different and the extra height would make trips to the tip that much faster!

This, minus supercharger, plus some sort of $2,500 Jeep/GM pickup 4x4 for snow duties might need to replace my 3 year old STi. Wowzers. Also, who the hell needs a supercharged Stingray? James Hunt?

Strange question. That's like saying "who the hell needs a Corvette in the first place". Of course no one needs a supercharged 'Vette, but plenty of people want them. That's why GM made the C6 ZR-1, not to mention dozens of aftermarket tuners and kits.

I know over in the UK the 'Vette is a bit of a specialty, a rather rare item, but over here in its homeland they are very common. So naturally, most Americans who can afford it want theirs to stand out from the crowd and outperform the others. Callaway, Lingenfelter, Greenwood, Baldwin-Motion, and all the others wouldn't have ever existed if there wasn't a strong demand for modified 'Vettes.

Hmmm. Not convinced...and why is having something the size of a letterbox on the back an advantage? Put the owner's manual in the back and you couldn't see out. Does the rear window even open?

rolleyes Lighten up!

99% of cars with 'Wagon' in their title infer some sort of utility type practicality beyond that of extending the roofline of a 2 seater sports car by a relatively small amount!

My intented light hearted comment was mere reference to the fact this type of car is not what is traditionally described as a Wagon, because it clearly isn't. So, you can get another bag or 2 in it? Not exactly designed to carry fridges to the dump is it!

At least 'Shooting Brake' doesn't imply that it's an Estate car!

Still quite like the car though.

I have to admit to being ignorant to where the term "brake" came from.

XF Sport Brake? They just didn't want to admit that the target buyer will have dog hair and dried on dog slobber everywhere in a car permeated with a foul stench within a month.

Shooting Brake? Because there's a huge demand for a sports car you can drive to the rifle club in your green bodywarmer.

Can someone please educate me on the origins of the term?
