It worked on the old Stingray, so why not?

The above conversion was quite popular in the US in the 1970s, and dare I say it, it still looks kinda cool.
That's a matter of opinion...
You are correct. That being said, there obviously was a market for them, so enough people must've had a positive opinion of them.

People will aways buy something different that someone else hasn't got, irrespective of how ugly, stupid or pointless it is. Most people have a hankering for individuality (not BMW drivers obviously... wink )

I confess: I did an image search for a Bond Bug and found this - thought if I posted an image of a normal Bond Bug, some humourless person would point out that it doesn't have enough wheels. SO this pic was a gift, even if I don't have a clue about its provenance.

How pointless was it putting supercharger on your Stang?
Do you really need the additional power? Do you actually get a chance to use it?
Or did you just want it?
It wasn't.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.

Do I want a Mustang estate? No.
Do I want a 4 door Mustang? No
Do I want a stylish 4 door, 5 seater saloon/hatch (like a CTS-V) with a 444hp or 662hp Mustang engine? Yes. wink

Forget the shooting brake (nice though it is), just give us an RHD conversion.

To be fair to him, suggesting that you couldn't fit a pair of knickers in a sports car boot that is bigger than those of a lot of estate cars WAS idiotic!

I am a fan of shooting brakes in general, but I don't like this for one simple reason. I've seen better visibility inside WW2 pillboxes than the rear 3/4s of this. The standard Vette shouldn't be that bad. Methinks I would rather have a VXR8 wagon if I want an fast estate with a big OHV V8. I very much doubt this would prove significantly more practical than the standard Vette.

Wasn't there a Jaguar XK shooting brake concept a few years ago? There are a couple of articles floating around on the web but no pics.
