While not an accident, i made myself look like a total dick last week. Parked up waiting for petrol, half the pumps are off so big queue, i see an middle aged bloke filling his crv. He takes ages so i am playing on my phone, and when i look up he has finished and is looking at the newspapers, flowers, even in the bucket with the sand in it! I opened my window and shouted out "you gonna fking hurry up mate?" and he said, in a sheepish voice "my wife is inside paying". she had wandered in when i was looking at my phone.... what a dick! apologised and felt like a baw bag!
biglaugh I can imagine how small you felt. That's the sort of thing I do all the time.

A friend of mine was fitting a Nitreous Oxide kit to his car, but he dropped it and it started to leak. That made us laugh.

Reminds me of this little gem from a few years ago:

Absolutely cracks me up! I think it's their plummy accents and the "Jesus Wept"!
That's real quality. He did very well.

The chap in the back was remarkably calm. No change in his voice throughout.

Thought I also heard a comment about it being his mum's car.
They were all amazingly calm. That could easily have rolled yikes

Funniest accident I have seen was a Reliant Robin turning right at a set of lights at a busy junction. Unfortunately he came into the turn a little too quickly and tipped it over onto it's side. The old couple inside were just sitting there hanging from the seatbelts when a big truck driver who was stopped on the other side of the junction got out of his cab, walked over and calmly put the Robin back on it's wheels. He walked back to his truck in stitches while the old couple drove on their way.

not the same type of accident as most of you, but i had just started wearing spd's on my mountain bike (clips on the bottom of your shoes for those that have no idea what i'm going on about). anyway i had been out for about 4 hours and was on my way home covered in mud etc and came to a roundabout, slowed down to a stop and then remembered the spd's couldn't unclip in time and seemed to topple over in slow motion. much to the amusement of the drivers at the roundabout. smile

also a couple of years back in the snow i was driving into work in the land rover and going via the back roads as the main ones were clogged with traffic. i was following a focus st that was not crawling but not tanking along, nice sensible speed in the conditions, well so i thought. the road was one that i had driven / been passenger loads of times as it was on the way to my old secondary school. so i started to slow down for a bend i knew was coming and thought the focus must know the bends coming, surely he will slow down for the ditch, he's nearly at the - oh he's in the ditch.

pulled him out and as the snow was thick he had just a couple of scratches on the car, but i just remember the slow motion off and the commentary in my head smile

Around 1992. Narrow bridge controlled by traffic lights. December, lots of snow and ice.

My mate out for a spin in the snow in an immaculate red Sierra XR4i, the 2.8 one, came to the lights at speed just as they turned red, accelerated hard and fishtailed the car over the bridge - then lost it completely on the other side and spun sideways into the first car in the queue on the other side.

It was a traffic-police Senator.

When I was much younger, I was waiting at a set of temporary lights in my vw beetle when i noticed in my rear view mirror a mini approaching with no occupants. At the very last minute up pops a head and the shear horror on this guys face as he realised he was going to hit me still makes me chuckle 25 years on.

Apparantly he was changing cassette's in his stereo which was mounted in the passenger footwell, the mini was a right mess, my old beetle survived with just a bent bumper.

Not an accident, but the video that always makes me laugh is in america, a guy comes powersliding around a corner on a mountain road, right in front of the cops.

Cant find it anywhere. Think he was in a viper or corvette.

This is on Mulholland drive where the standard of weekend driving / riding is incredibly incompetent.

A bit funny http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbdJxFjRe6E

Definitely not funny http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNFaAqS2f18

Some rare machinery, much of it Jay Leno's, up there at the weekends.

I wasn't witness to this one, but it involved a few of my friends. They were on a roadtrip type thing around the south west and at one point pulled into a long layby with a ditch type thing running alongside. They stopped 3 of the cars, waiting for the fourth with a gap at the back in which he could park the Citroen C1.
Unfortunately he didn't notice this and attempted to park at the front of the layby, which meant swinging in at quite an angle due to the lack of space.

As he turned in he went a bit too far before straightening up, resulting in the front wheel sliding into this ditch, and dragging the rest of the car with it in what was quite a comedic little crash. Fortunately he and the car were fine and they managed to extract it.

Also, another of my friends (and I did witness this) had a slow speed collision with a police station. Pretty much everybody in the street it was on heard it and turned to look. Very awkward.

There is a weird Y shaped junction near me, people merge from both sides of the Y then onto a busy junction at the bottom of the Y. I'd just dropped my Mrs off at work as a fresh faced youth in a little fiesta zetec (i loved that car), now i had to get into the busy junction. So angry man 3 cars back saw me trying to enter from my road approaching the middle of the Y.

He was that intent he wouldn't let me and that he didn't leave a gap, that every time the queue moved up he quickly moved up too, unfortunately on one of his intense gap fills, he hit the car in front. He turned to look at me with such intense anger!

It probably didn't help I was in fits of laughter, I drove round the accident with a cheery smile, wave and toot.

Always look back on that with fond memories.

Leaving Goodwood FoS in 1998 (ish) while sat in traffic going down the big grass hill to the road, everyone was filtering nicely into 4 queues to the gate when some spotty oik in a fiesta decided it would be a good time to drive like hell & jump the queues to the gate. I could hear all the reving someway behind me and looked across to see said oik realising racing down a grass hill just after a downpour wasn't a good idea, brakes weren't doing much apart from making the fezza spin like a top. Muppet had a chance to bail out into the hedge but misjudged it and t-boned a new Jag x300. Expect Jag owner did not find it in the slightest bit funny but everyone queuing seemed to. Feel bad for laughing out loud now as I type this

I've been up there a few times with a mate of JL's.

It's like a special needs outing.

Difficult to describe so added badly drawn photo. I was following the moron who was indicating right. I assumed she was one of those who stupidly indicate right when they mean they're going straight on. Boy was I wrong, let T Bone commence.
