Mrs Lufbramatt got me a Caterham experience voucher for my birthday biggrin enough to cover either a track day or a days hire.

So, the question is, do I do one of the trackdays (slalom or drift) or have a day out with the wife in the countryside? Brands Hatch is pretty local to me but don't mind travelling if one of the other tracks they offer is better. Thoughts and experiences welcome smile

Depends - have you done a trackday before? If not, it could be very memorable if it's your first one.

How is your OH as a passenger? A well planned day out on lovely country roads with nice destinations included could be great fun too, and if you make it enjoyable for the OH you may be rewarded with more Caterhamy gifts in the future.

A days hire

Then the wife might be on your side when you buy one

Done a fair bit of karting but never been on track in a car. OH is fine as a passenger, certainly never had any complaints when enjoying A- and B- roads smile

I would also suggest a day's hire over a track experience.

I've had a few hires from Roadsport Hire in York and BlueSky Caterham in Lancaster and both were fantastic, also its a great way to explore parts of the country I had not been to before - the Yorkshire Moors and the Lake District.

Where ever you go I'm sure you'll have a great time!

Say you can't decide and ask for a discount for both and treat yourself to an early Xmas prezzie biggrin

The vouchers can be used for car hire?

I've just received one and thought it was for track only.

Yes we did this a couple of weeks ago, went for the day's hire in the end. You can collect the cars from the showrooms in Crawley and one up near Leicester I think. Had the car from 9:30 till 4, big tour round the south downs taking in Petworth, Midhurst, Goodwood, Arundel then back to Crawley. The most fun we've ever had biggrin

Can be arranged over the phone just give the showroom a call, make sure you have the voucher number to hand.

Excellent, cheers. A bit of quick googling indicates that there's a Caterham centre in Gloucester which is close. Now all I have to do is decide if I want to have fun on the public roads or go mental around Silverstone.
