Oh I meant to ask - did it come with a handbook ?

If so, any chance you could scan it? English ones seem to be hard to come by and quite a few people would appreciate access to a copy.

Yes it did. If you need any pages let me know. smile

I noticed something very cool about the car earlier. The rear washer stops working if the bottle is less than a third full (to prioritise the front screen).

Just brilliant. smile

Bought a 1998 ford fiesta in a horrible blue ish purple colour last month to mince about in whilst my search for a decent car prevails.
1.25 auto lx
58,000 miles on the clock
M.O.T may
Tax december

Ugly, few dents n scrapes, no left wing mirror glass and the right one is cracked, slow but drives mint
Only prob was there was no log book with the car so had to apply for one

£250 all in

Kicked in door, smashed windscreen? All you need is the smell of old Kebab and you'll have a decent Minicab by Peterborough standards. hehe

I'll add my new (to me) shed to this and will add pics once I've picked it up but I've got an R 'reg Puma with 10 months MOT and no tax for £200. I haven't even seen it but apparently its a good car.
I have an St170 engine to drop in there if the Yamaha bits are tired. Usual Ford rust spots (sections) and Fiesta suspension on a heavier car that gets chucked around more so suspension bushes, arms and linkages go pretty quickly.

Apart from that they are great little cars (unless it's the 1.4 Mazda/Zetec engine version, they're slow, use as much fuel as the 1.7 and secondary parts fail much quicker for some reason).
I've now got the Puma and it's a good little drive, a knock from the rear so bushes I guess but the engine sounds great when it hits about 4.5k. It needs a drivers window regulator, a new stereo, some front speakers and I think it needs a new thermostat but apart from that it seems a great £200 car, I've done about 400 miles in it so far and it's been averaging about 38mpg which I'm impressed with.

For £200 it looks very nice indeed. What a beast. biggrin My dad bought a very similar car of the same year for £4K recently. Seeing that makes me think that maybe I shouldn't avoid high mileage cars like the plague but I'm not sure I'd ever buy a car without full service history and MOT.

It needs some work for an MOT- suspension strut and front brakes/tyres x2

will see how it gets on when I get a poke about it at the weekend

Why would someone sell that for £200? The leather must be worth more than that, and the wheels..

I was offered it for that (mate's brother) as WBAC was offering that for it due to it needing work for an MOT

I've known the car a while, so I chewed that particular hand off

Excellent. Given my recent adventures with Bavarian Motors I avoid any post-96 BMW as it's all plug in and play instead of mechanics but for £200 you can't go wrong. If the warning lights don't come off fit a JCB turbo, weld the diff' and sell it to a "like drifta innit bruv; br-br-br-brap! Brap!" for thousands.

I now have three Skodas on my watch list. Buy one, cut the springs in half, rough up the paint and cover a dent with stickers. Advertise it with the word "Dub Scene" in the heading and sell it for six times what it's worth. hehe

Dad won't let me do it to his. rolleyes

smile you know my sales pitch! I generally avoid anything that has an E number higher than 34, but as you say, far too cheap to ignore.

Re the Skudders, I'd advise a wander over to briskoda, as there's a fairly good Felicia section there

I have a pre-dented/roughed up/knackered suspension one, can I sell it for thousands? hehe

All you need is a set of tyres that don't fit and you're there. wink

Close enough if there's a Kebab shop locally the delivery drivers love 'em.

I think the E36 was the last driving machine BMW made, since then they've all been drivers aids.
