All leccy cars = city car except Tesla.

And the latest model is 200km better range than the previous.

And the super smart and expensive charger is = to motorway coffee and you're back up to 90%+.

Yes, i3 better get a move on.

So 91 miles range at present and one notes that they do not tell you of the spec's of the new battery pack other than it uses new technology.

Umm.

Horses for courses! My i3 is brilliant and in my experience i3 owners are very happy with their purchases.

BMW i3. It is a lot of money for a four seater. No mention of why only four seats. I'm sure the back bench seat would enable another space instead of two luxury individuals. Absolutely no mention of solar roof panels to help with charging. I dare say this is on the agenda for future models once current owners have been robbed of the 25k price tag and that is with a so called government grant.
Mr & Mrs average just can't afford to waste this amount of money on such a vehicle that really has a limited range. There is the Hybrid version incase one runs out of battery power. There dosen't seem to be definitve accurate figures of mileage on either versions. The article claims 100mile range. My neighbour gets 120miles on electric that is, and for the school run at a cost of three quid a week. Looking on Piston Heads there are a lot of second hand models for sale and the prices are all over the shop. Saying all this though I quite fancy one but not yet. I'm waiting to see if solar panels will suddenly appear on the roof. That goes for all the other electric vehicles as well. My worry is the battery. I've heard that one rents the battery in certain electric vehicles. Info is not easily available and one has to search hard for the minor details. Like what happens when the battery dies.

Resurrects a four year old thread discussing a 4 year old review!

Strange.

The i3 battery and thus range has been upgraded twice since then!!
