Flyin' Miata Habu

480 bhp of reliable LS3 crate motor (with upgraded cam included), 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds while only adding 200 lbs to the weight of the car.

Price? $24,000 (£14,779), plus your supplied NC MX-5.

= Supercar bargain!

I would rather buy something like this 2011 MX5 £12k

That is same spec car my wife and I bought (as her car), of course it rather handily came on Bilsteins, less miles and a slightly better price from a Mazda dealer - a few months back in the Summer too.

Although the thought of more power sounds interesting, I can't help but feel it would ruin the car, perhaps for track use it might be more appropriate, but then why would you buy a convertible for track days alone.

I personally love the car; I previously owned a VX220 and can't see why the MX-5s can get a hard time, it's 90% of the fun and you have the benefit of warranty, newer car, mod cons, etc at a very similar price.
