Yay! Another XK. If only Jag produced a car that was supposed to fit the bill of proper sports car as opposed to very fast and very fat GT...

£135,000 for a Jag, fk that.
sureley the price is dependant on how capable and rare this machine is, not what manufacturer it is made by.

i would.

Torque. And an artificially limited position (ZF capped) on XKRS-GT that provides a torque curve looks like table mountain thanks to the Supercharged powertrain. All about the area under the curve. That area is smaller on a N/A V12 Vantage.

Exhaust on the Jaguar makes the Vantage sound a bit limp wristed also. Like thor gargling with mallets hehe.

What evidence do you have to suggest otherwise then clever B0ll0cks?
OK, so you don't really have the evidence to back up the assertion, do you?

It's great that the engineers used the oppo to make a weapon - sadly it's a weapon that only the King will hold as he sits at the back of the army, watching everyone else doing the fighting. It won't be used in anger and so it was a bit of a waste of time.
Not really. How often when you see a supercar on the road is it actually being pushed on? Almost never. And I reckon that if 10 come to the UK, 10 of them will see the occasional trackday at least.

The safe/boring choice. Jaguar should be applauded for actually building it.

Haven't driven V12 Vantage S, but Last V12V wouldn't see where this car went around the 'Ring. Aero makes big difference at high speed. Horst only managed 8.02 in a DBS. I've not driven An Aston that could do what this car did at Oulton yesterday. And no, I haven't driven a One-77.

Love a pointless 'Ring argument.

Just need Horst in both (or you, but he's the man with the long, long list of Ring times). Then we'll know.

It's a pointless argument anyway, as the difference will be negligible on the road, whichever is faster.

How is the F type somehow now a paragon of steering feel? So this car takes from the F type and now it has that great F-type feel. The F-type doesn't even have that great F-type feel. martin

Whatever the ring times, I picked up on your comment 'the F-Type Coupe they will not [allegedly] build'?? Is this right? Who says so? Or am I missing a point here. Can you assist?

That bodywork makes every Nissan GTR look classy in comparison.
Never thought that about any other Jaguar I've ever seen, but I completely agree. This one looks ridiculous.

Looks tongue in cheek to me as in, of course they'll build it, but perhaps when the new XK comes out and is in a totally different league (so we don't kill the XK with the F type coupe in the meantime). Maybe cars like this are to get the perception of the XK to raise to new levels.

Having just watched the Mustang video, can't help thinking some Martini magic would work wonders on the Jag.

And in future Harry Metcalfe will be involved in just this very thing I think. His new role with JLR ETO makes sense with respect to cars like this.
You are correct, more to come like this from ETO/Jaguar. I think we may surprise a few people..

Jaguar brought one of these to Castle Combe a few weeks back, watching it hammering around the track for 20 minutes was awesome...actually, listening to it for 20 minutes was awesome. Incredible sounding machine, particularly going into the corners.
