hello i might be going to straigh swap my astra 1.9 cdti 200 bhp soon for an ep3 ctr, i have heard great things about the type r but the only thing that is well sort of putting me off is the 111k miles, its on a 54 plate so i suppose it doesn't work out too bad but what do you guys think?

Anything i should look out for??

I sold my '54' plate civic type r on about 109k miles a few months back (is the one your are looking at Black and in the SE?)

Its a great car, does everything very well - relaxed/manic when you want it to be and I averaged 35mpg to boot!

Weak points are clutches - I had mine changed in the short time I had it - also drink a fair amount of oil so make sure that it's been topped up regularly/properly serviced.

Not necessarily so...

Go and look on the relevant CTR forums, every fault that has ever happened to EP3's (and FN2's) is endlessly documented.
