I'm in a similar situation. I bought the car with a personal plate that the owner wants back. I presume then that I will have to pay the cash to the DVLA to have the plate removed/swapped with the original and then get reimbursed by him?

Yes, his details go on as nominee. It totals about £105 iirc, so get the money off him first wink

Yeah, I will. I don't feel like forking out £105 for anyone. Thanks for the advice.

Sue, we did agree and sign the receipt to reflect the agreement. I'll text him to let him know about his obligation!!

Wifey Has J111??? on one of her cars, so if it were 222, 666. 123, 321, 555, 888, 999, 124,125.126,127, 128,129,130,131,132,etc I might be interested.
