The 2004-2005 FQ-400 does 60mph in 3.5 secs and has a top speed of 180mph, (new FQ-400 does it in 3.8secs and electronically limited to 155mph) i have been searching on the internet for the fastest 4 door cars in the world, the ones that can compete with all the expensive 2-door super cars like Lamborghini Aventador, Aston Martin Vantage V12, Bugatti Veyron etc etc but i haven't found one that does 60mph in under 3.5 secs, most fast ones that are also really expensive do it in around 4.0 secs.... even if you spend a lot money to make the evo do 60mph in around 2.5 secs with around 800bhp, its still cheaper than all those expensive 4-door cars, so is there a 4-door car that is faster than the evo?? also by "competing" i dont mean racing on an airport runway... i mean like around the city or on an average race track. Of course those expensive 4-door cars with huge engines have top speeds of over 200mph but top speed is hard to achieve unless you are lucky to find no traffic or go to a special race track that is for top speed only. Surely you will not be able to enter that german race track where they tested out bugatti veyron lol. So anyway is there any 4-door car faster than the evo that is also capable of challenging 2-door super cars?

P.S. This isn't about "the best" 4-door car in the world, its about "the fastest" 4-door car in the world. Personally, if i were to buy a fast 4-door car, i would still prefer a luxury 4-door car than an evo.

My research so far:
Fastest 4-door Mercedes is the CLS, its fastest version does 60mph in 3.7 secs and top speed of around 200mph and Porsche Panamera does 60mph in 3.8 secs and top speed of 190mph. Then there is Aston Martin Rapide, BMW M5, Jaguar XFR, Audi S8 quattro etc etc all similar stats around 3.5-4.0 secs to 60mph and top speed around 200mph but i still can't find a 4-door car that does 60mph in like 2.5 secs just like the 2-door super cars, evo is of course a tuner so you can easily modify it to around 800bhp so it does 60mph in 2.5 secs and 180mph in like 9.0 secs which can easily compete with 2-door super cars. The FQ-400 version already does compete with most 2-door super cars but is that pretty much it? are there no 4-door cars that do 60mph in 2.5-2.8 secs and top speed 200mph? is evo the fastest option then?

yeah i seen a video of that car its really fast but still wont compete with super cars, i assume now 4-door cars aren't supposed to be made fast as 2-door cars.

I recall one of the mags, possibly Car, doing a comparison feature between the FQ400 and a Zonda. They obviously felt it was quick enough to merit the comparison.

Something like a Panamera Turbo S might be level-pegging with the Evo 0-60mph, but I would imagine after that the Porsche would pull away quite quickly. The Mercedes E63 AMG S 4Matic might be quicker still. Evos and their contemporary Imprezas are old hat now - a car such as the A45 AMG makes them look a bit silly as an all-round package.

New M6 grand coupe must be close?

Modified evo 180mph in 9 seconds? Really? Or do you mean 124mph?!

I think the Brabus Rocket is probably the quickest "production" four-door by that metric.

0-62 in 3.2 seconds.
227mph top speed.

That would make it on a par with a current F1 car. I'd guess it'd need of the order of 2000bhp with no gain in weight to do that. hehe

I think even 124mph is optimistic. The first would make it 7.5 seconds fasterthan a McLaren P1, and by that token 13 seconds faster than a McLaren F1.

Even the second figure seems optimistic, it is only 2.2 seconds slower than a McLaren P1, considering the P1 has a total power output of 916bhp and weighs 1395kg, where as the Mitsubishi has 403bhp and weighs 1540kg.

Whats the measure of fastness?
0-60, 0-100, round a track, b-roads, point-to-point, top end?

Would imagine the EVO would be quicker than most if not all of the German models (Panamera, M5, RS6 etc) mentioned if on b-roads or point to point. It was at the end of the day designed to cope with harsh roads, wet, snow and changes of direction/camber etc. The others would have the legs to pull away from it over a long distance in a straight line...... Bit of a waste of an EVO if its just used for straight line drags.
