Yep. All necessary deposits and broker fees paid in advance. Order form signed the following day on 3rd July, along with accompanying "personaluser proposal form".
My options presented on the email are either a full refund, or to take it (DSG, 5dr) at £325.50 per month - rather than the originally agreed £257.99!

I had exactly the same, but I chased them once the debacle raised its head on the forums, including this one. My quotes were exactly as per yours, before and after. I told them to poke it. I have a Fiesta ST2 turning up now. Certainly not a Golf R, but it was a real car, a real deal and considerably cheaper than my original quote on the R, let alone the inflated "Sorry we can't honour that" one.My options presented on the email are either a full refund, or to take it (DSG, 5dr) at £325.50 per month - rather than the originally agreed £257.99!
They have this all sewn up legally too. No amount of "I have a contract" will make them deliver it. It's all in the small print. If you pulled out they'd chase you to the ends of the earth for 3 months rental as a forfeit. They, as you can see to your consternation, can do what they like. I imagine they knew about this a long time ago, but left it until a couple of days before you expect delivery to drop the bomb in the hope that you'll suck it up.

Volvo XC60
XC60 DIESEL ESTATE
D4 [181] SE 5dr
5 Diesel Manual 10000 24 months
3 + 23 £349.99
We just got one of these and I think it is absolutely brilliant. The new generation engine is incredible and the car is so smooth and nippy that it's surprising its actually a heavy diesel car. Added to the new digital speedo screen thingy we're over the moon with it. If you do that do NOT get the R-design version like I did. THey have face lifted the normal version but not the R-design so I paid £1500 for a worse looking car.XC60 DIESEL ESTATE

When I was looking regentautomotive.co.uk who are the official Volvo leasers had significantly the cheapest deals so worth trying if you're going down that route.

Advice please!
I have been patiently waiting for my Golf R personal lease order to arrive, since placing the order on 2nd June. My Golf is on Stage 5 in the VW 'Track my Order' queue, in transit. It started its transit at the start of the week.
Happy days. I can finally ditch my E39 530i Touring shed. Except...
I get an email today from the lease co (Applied Leasing), saying "Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, Volkswagen have pulled the extra support on all Golf R orders. I have requested some new figures to see if they are similar per month. I will send across the new figures once I have received this morning to see if you still wish to proceed. If you don’t wish to proceed all monies will be refunded."
I knew support was being pulled a few weeks after I placed my order, surrounding the 'business use' debacle. Being a long-time lurker on forums here (and the R Forum, once I placed my order) I had seen that most accepted orders seemed to progress but orders from that point were being rejected. I asked the chap there whether I would be affected - he said he was monitoring the situation with VWFS. This was the last week of June.
My car is about to land on UK shores, they have a customer waiting for it, but now they are saying they won't lease at the previous agreed rate and have come back with some considerably higher rate. The lease is a personal one, as mentioned, but I do occasionally use for business purposes which I am able to claim back as expenses (which seems to be all that is required for business leases in some cases, as I've discovered after the event!).
Where do I stand? I am due to call the guy back after he has emailed and left a voice message today, but am seeking the advice of the masses first! Many thanks.
You have a pm. Advise Applied that the car must not under any circumstances be reallocated - you will be taking it subject to agreeing the terms. That sounds like an Unfair Contract (Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977) - terms have to be balanced and equal to both sides. In practice enforcing it would be time consuming and expensive with no certainty of success.
Lexus IS 300H Executive, personal £273.25 all in 6+23.
I don't know much about the new Lexus but that's got to be a good deal!

Freedom have the 350 ( don't think there's a 400 cab)
Give them a try. Abbie, Roxanne or Hayley, very helpful.

Waaaaaaaaay back in May I took advantage of the Merc E300 deal from Gateway2Lease. Well the car is at the dealers and is being delivered to me on Thursday. Couple of pics the dealer sent through below:
Superb stuff, bet tats a great engine. My E Class Cab arrived Friday, 14 reg :-(
Obsidian black/black leather through Freedom
Question for those that will have more knowledge about leasing than myself.
I want to lease maybe a 3 series touring or c class estate, obviously you get a lot better deals through business lease rather than personal.
Now I do have a LTD company but really don't want to put the car through the business as I've got a commercial vehicle I use for that. Can I just give them all the business details and pay using my personal account? Or is this a bit naughty?
Sure it will have been answered before but why are business deals lots better than personal? Whats the difference from lease company's point of view?

Looks nice, a mate has an E250 CDi in the same trim as that as a loaner at the moment and the tyre noise seems to be really loud!
Lovely car but those E class Mercs are very noisy at speed. I was in the back of one at 70mph on the motorway the other day and kept having to ask the driver to repeat himself! Nice looking cars (and I'd definitely have one) but the equivalent 5 series is a lot quieter on the motorway.Gassing Station | Car Buying | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
