Wow, £24/month for the new reg. Cheeky beggars!

They're pretty well kitted out cars as standard. I've added a few options to mine, but that's because I'm a tart.
What did you add? I would've liked fully electric memory seats. The standard are electric for all but fore and aft movement plus I'd have liked the red seat belts and stitching to satisfy my tarty side.

I added the full Pano roof, LED ILS lights, Privacy Glass, Full Tyre Pressure Monitoring, Speed Limit Assist and the Reversing Camera. Makes a good deal, erm, not so good!

They're also a bit crap on fuel...sorry! wink
Based on what experience? From the MBclub forum there's a chap who has been utilising the Hybrid tech to the max...and been getting >70mpg!

Compared to what I've been used to, that'd feel like free fuel.

Out of interest, whats the excess mileage charge on something like your merc?

Great thread.

So what's flavour of the month wrt c.300hp hatchbacks?

We've seen the M135 and Golf R deals come and go...Focus ST seems very cheap at present.

Anything else around at bargain basement rates?

Far from a hot hatch but applied have a good deal on the new Lexus IS 300. Worth a look if a sporty saloon is your thing.

Nothing at the moment bar ST's. S3's are similar on price now to the M135i and the Golf R.

There's conflicting info coming from some of the BMW lads, that they'll be some dirt cheap lease's on the M1/235i when the facelifted 1 series is launched, and when the M2 is launched. However, supposedly BMW don't have any surplus stock so need to give thousands away.

Wonder if Mercedes will try and get in on the fun.

Me too! I've just got rid of my C63 AMG so even 45mpg will be fantastic!

Excess mileage isn't cheap at all...22p/mile. Luckily I'll just swap with my Wife's Mini on odd days if the mileage looks to be going over.

You have a pm. Advise Applied that the car must not under any circumstances be reallocated - you will be taking it subject to agreeing the terms.
Hi Jamie
Thank you for your comprehensive note. I've replied, but it says your email address (@totalise) is kaput. Do you have an alternative please? Need further advice and don't to hijack this thread! Ta.

Over 2 month 6000 miles we're getting ~50mpg mostly m/way miles. Less than the C250 it replaced. To be fair I haven't driven it so it could be operator error but seems to concur with Honest John: http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/realmpg/mercedes-benz/...

Ouch - my 330 is similar. (Un)fortunately some s made sure my car was out of action for 3 months so I won't get anywhere near the contract mileage.

Really struggling on what to do, either buy new or lease, we need a car for the next couple of years as we have lost my misses company car due to a new job. We will be starting a family in the next two years so not sure if we should buy new PCP and then have the option to chop it in and trade up to something more family friendly, or just go for a lease and when the lease is up after 24 months go and buy something new... my brain is so scrambled at the moment trying to weigh up the options..

I'm pretty disappointed with the current lease deals. My C63 goes back in Feb and I urgently need to order a car. Not impressed at all with the lease deals so likely to go PCP this time.

Currently looking at:

1. BMW 640d Coupe - awesome car for the ££££ with £20k dealer / BMW FS discount - close to getting a better deal than I can find on any lease site
2. Mercedes A45 - wife does not like this option... awaiting a PCP quote, suspect it will be more expensive than my C63! It is a great fun car though!
3. Audi S3 Saloon - some great deals out there, but a bit of a boring car and had a previous S3 in 2001 so not sure if I want to go back
4. M235i - Just too expensive with toys added and no 19" wheel option is not great

On the lease sites nearly everyday and on here looking for that great deal.

I want 300bhp+, reasonable economy, and lots of kit as standard and a maximum lease cost of around £600 per month with 3 or 6 months deposit (max 24 or 36 month term for contract lease).

eek I wouldn't really want an estate but you can't argue with those prices! They're excluding the VAT, I assume?

Just given mine back, surprised about the noise comments here, as mine seemed really quiet (cab with Conti's).
It is just the Estate, because of the pretty hard plastics the noise in the rear resonates like mad and gets amplified.
I put a double duvet in there when I had to do long trips and was on my own, which killed the noise completely, but not practical and sort of defeats the point of the estate. haha

having just spent another £800 on my ageing Cayenne V8 i need to pull the trigger on an oil burner for motorway plodding. currently torn between a deal on one of the run off Merc C250 coupes (very loaded and cheap) or an E class saloon as it is the facelift.

basically the same price at £225 + vat (9+23 profile), can't decide and no other deals jumping out at me. both seem very good value as the mercs appear to have slightly better basic spec than other premium brands.

like the 530M for a bit more cash but a few silly bits of kit are included on the E class that would add another £40-50 to the BMW and push it a bit too far. very frustrating
