well the 530 is £300+vat (6+23) and the merc is 229+vat (9+23). folding mirrors is one that springs to mind and the stereo on the Merc seems a bit better than the business audio, also the excess at 9ppm beats the BM at 14.4ppm and i'm likely to do an extra 10,000 over 2 years.

total for BM over 2 years inc excess miles, £12,168. Merc is £9875

will be used for twice weekly plod up and down the M4; have a toy for throwing around at weekends.
Which E class is it? Typically this price would be for a rough as a badger's arse 4 cylinder poxy noisy unrefined engine from hell (E220 or E250), whereas the BMW 530 is a lovely smooth 6 cylinder.

is the 220 really still that bad; thought they'd improved? might go and have another go in one in the morning.

Well I certainly would not be considering an E220 as an alternative to a BMW 530.

I recently test drove a C250 CDi Sport (when I had a 2007 BMW 330d M Sport). The BMW was a much nicer car to drive and the Merc engine was rough and uninspiring in comparison.

If anyone's in the market for a CR-V or Civic, V4B have insane rates on them at present. Business and Personal.

My mate just ordered this today! Added some RS style pack stuff to it and ended up £230 a month for 2 years. 250hp for £230 - nice!

Equivalent PCP needed £2k deposit and £398 per month!
The reason it's so cheap is because the new Focus is due out soon. Someone at work just tried to order a diesel 'Titanium X' and has been told they can't factory order an more, stock only.

Still a cracking deal for the kit though.

For an EX Auto model on a 3 + 23, 10k £348 is very good value indeed.

If I was in the market for a 4 x 4, that might have just had my business. Very good cars, nice to drive. Slow and uneconomical engine mind; but lovely place to be.

How much for 10k miles? 5k is as much use as a dick flavoured lolly pop.

Same, I really would not want a Golf R or Audi S3 Manual. Ruins the car for me.

Does anybody know of any good deals over 48 months?

All the juicy stuff seems to be over 24 months, however I'm about to start a new job where the policy is that cars are leased for 4 years.

I'm inheriting a Passat CC from my predecessor which looks decent enough but will be up for renewal soon so I want to see what's out there sooner rather than later.

In a lot of cases you can call up and ask for a customised 48month quote even if the headline is 24 months. Sometimes it even get cheaper!

Does it mention this on the website or only when you enquire?
PCH conditions apply.

There will be a line highlighted in yellow at the bottom of the quote when you request one stating what the deal is but you need business mileage or company director as stated earlier.

Just an update on the Tilsun deal for the 330d posted AGES back. I ordered on 4th July and was told delivery 26th September.

Added the Sport+ pack in August but have been told there are no updates to that date more than once but asked them to call the dealer today to check and it's now November frown That's fairly vague as well as I haven't got a fixed build week.

Not sure I would have gone ahead if quoted a 4-5 month lead time.

A couple of questions for the seasoned PCH guys and girls on here if you can help?

1)My cooling off period ends in just over a week. Do I receive the delivery date after that as advised by G2L? Or should I expect to have this by now?

2)Is it worth having a new car detail carried out by a professional, rather than letting the dealer near the car? I'm thinking of protecting the paint for the return in two years. Or is it better value to have it detailed prior to the return?

3)I've only ever purchased used cars. So any tips to avoid trouble when the car is delivered? I'm sure the chap will be in a rush to go. I was going to check for scratches and dents, check the oil level etc to make sure it's not been overfilled, or underfilled. Does anyone have a check list that they have used?

I know it seems a bunch of daft questions, but I'd rather ask and check that I haven't missed anything.

I'm rather excited for the little ST turning up. Never had a hot hatch. I'm a little late to the party.

Thanks in advance.

That's a nightmare! Seems there's not much the customer can do about delays like this... Either suck it up or cancel. Not ideal. Was a good deal though, hopefully it's worth the wait.

Ouch!

Out of interest how much is it with the sport+ pack?

1) I would expect you to have this by now. The cooling off period is just for the finance company (guessing it's Leaseplan) covering themselves. Dealer should be able to sort delivery for that day.

2) Personally, wouldn't care. It's ultimately not my car, no worry of resale. The lease company can't charge you if the paint is swirly from poor cleaning.

3) Make sure any optional extra's are there, and all bodywork is fine. Apart from that, never really spent too much time looking around it, but that's just me.

Think this might have been asked before, but can anyone comment on how having a lease deal would impact a mortgage application? Since its not technically a straightforward loan but obviously it is a fixed outgoing expense.

Just trying to do the maths for whether you'd be better of with a higher mortgage deposit but tied into a car lease deal, or paying cash for a used car which lowers the available mortgage deposit fund but means no outgoing leasing payment.
