Sorry woodman, seems a lot of people on here seemed to think I was talking Bulllllst

Ddidnt they have the C63 AMG on offer for £370+ (or close_ a few months back?
I've seen a £399+ Vat which you can probably get now. The old M5 deal was a corker at around £480+. That Golf R deal is insane really.

Yeah M5 was a fantastic deal - like you say Golf R in unreal - would hate to be trying to sell these cars when you can get it for so low on lease - whats the best personal lease deal on these now?

Schoolboy error on my part. I assumed that delivery would be on a trailer and not driven as the vehicle is coming from the North to London. I've asked the lease company and they haven't said either way. Just that it will depend on the dealer and how many cars they are delivering and where to?

Has anyone else had their cars delivered to them by driver?

Mine's being trailered from Canterbury to Notts - dealer in question says he'd rather pay more to get it to me safely than risk stone damage etc, having it driven here.

Mine was trailered (as was the Wife's Mini). Still turned up pretty dirty though mad

Thanks.

So bearing in mind I've not thought of this before and admit that - if this car turns up tomorrow with 200 miles on the clock, do I have a case?

I should have thought of this before, so responsibility is with me and it's my own fault I guess.

Sorry I'm confused - have a case for what? Why does it matter how it gets to you?

Case to be disappointed, that's all. Was more thinking miles on the clock. I'm aware your mileage starts from when you receive the car and I was concerned about someone ragging it up the motorway. I wanted to be the first to do that. smile

If his mileage limit is 5000pa, he's already lost about 4% before he's got the car.

Do you have a case for what?

All my lease cars have been driven to my door, can't grumble about that. There's also a record of delivery mileage on the receipt.

VW have always had good prices for leasing these but you have to prove you have a business.

Once you add BIK it isn't that attractive.
Except you wouldn't provide it to the director as a company car, it would just be a £165 payment to their loan account.

Also wouldn't apply to the self employed.

it comes up i'd say every month, some tard thinks they can play the tax/business lease system. Presumably you think you're literally the first person to think of that, yes?
I've not read all the responses so not sure if it's already been covered. We have several clients who stick their lease payments straight to their loan account. You're not getting the benefit of claiming back the VAT but it still tends to work out better than a personal lease deal. There was a case that went to court with HMRC a few months back and it was deemed a legitimate way of doing things, so we're happy to treat them this way based on that. If anyone want's the link I'll dig it out.

ps. Try being a little less aggressive with your posts in future thumbup
Please do post the link. I'd love to know why if the car is owned by the company but paid for by the user that there aren't wider tax implications than just VAT. Presumably the only way the company would agree to this is if the user in question owns the company as there's no way they'd take on the financial responsibility for the contract otherwise. The reason for my response is because, as I said, it comes up very regularly that some bright spark thinks they can play the system. Maybe you are the only one in hundreds, in which case well done, however as far as I am concerned it's unlikely and it's not really what the thread is about.
I think it's clear now that business leasing is pretty straightforward for anyone that isn't a Ltd or PLC. No BIK etc because the owner is the company.

Even simpler for me as my industry is VAT exempt!
except there is no 'business' because it isn't a legal entity if not ltd or plc
But enough of a business to have a business account and therefore qualify for business leases wink

I could stretch to that, shame there's nothing floating around right now and I have about 3 weeks to order something I think.

What do you mean by that?

maybe I have missed your point, but you don't have to be limited to be a business and get a business lease deal.

Mate has just got a new car through a business lease and he is not limited, he and his brother just make timber frame buildings.
There was no issue with him getting a business lease.
sigh. Because the point was being attempted that there was no BIK because the company owns the car, except there is no company, so you own it.
Not sure what you're going on about.

I agree he was wrong that there is no BIK, but it was your comment at the start that I don't understand......

???

That is just not correct.

Why is there no company?

I agree, BIK will be due if using the car personally, but I don't get why you think there is no company unless ltd or plc?

What about E63 AMG? Or C63AMG ? they are more or less in budget if you can afford M5 or CLA 45 AMG (if not to small)
