Ah, OK. My sister has business Nav on her 3 Series and I seem to remember it being shockingly bad.

The deal has been widely linked earlier in the thread (where I first saw it, thanks to whoever posted), my car (Estate) has come from MB direct but Tilsun have the same deal here http://www.tilsungroup.com/mercedes-e+class-e350-b...
I'm severely tempted by this , but I would be a straight personal. Assuming MB direct wouldn't be able to do much for me ?

I'm thinking of popping down the dealers later to have a look at one , but I'm sure they're constantly wound up by idiots coming in with printouts from the internet that they can't possibly match smile.
So.. Went to local MB, they can't even get close.. £550 +. Weren't interested in really talking leases, more trying to push me to pcp.

The new 9 speed box is causing lead time issues so delivery will be jan 15. Not a massive problem, spoke to tilsun from the linked deal, and they can only offer the price stated for delivery 2014. I can have it at 6 + 371 pm inc vat, though as it'll be a 2015. £20 extra per month frown. Still seems like a stonking deal though.

Even though it's a personal lease.. Only condition is I can demonstrate that I use it for some sort of business, and a letter from my employer stating that I am entitled to claim mileage as I go will suffice.

Close to pulling the trigger on this one. And as it's not my problem come resale, I'm severely tempted to go with red biggrin. I just counted 3 silver and grey e classes on our short cul de sac!

Best offer on my E350cdi estate with 26k miles and nearly 2 years old was £18200, Mercedes Norwich offered £16600 for it!

maybe this has the potential to become the latest thread de-rail...

so, my normal car insurance will cover me for current market value at the point of a total loss. So when you say I am liable for the value of the car, i assume you are meaning that figure, and the gap covers the remaining payments or no?
Haha, could well be!

It depends on the company you lease from.
But Contract hire gap covers the gap between the cars valuation by your insurance company and the current amount of finance that is on the car (which will be owed by the lease company) and any rentals you are still owing.

Not all hire companies will make you pay the rentals if the finance is settled however, so you need to ask them if you start an agreement.
No point paying for CH Gap if regular GAP will suffice.

I always think big red cars look like fire engines, it's looks ok on small cars but not big ones (imo of course, it's a subjective thing).

I'm looking at something cheap, cheerful and small for the missus to drive around.

The Ford Fiesta seems to be one of the better bets at around £130pcm lease. PCP is quite a bit more expensive.

Focus for £120pcm: http://www.tilsungroup.com/ford-focus-1.6+tdci+115...

Just realised red is a cost option. Not getting screwed on options, so looks like blue is my only option aside from resale silver/white/grey/black

Something like £1500 as well, so that will add £65 a month to the hire deal. biggrin

Actually, they added metallic as standard so think Hyacinth Red became around £500.

The Cavansite Blue is a nice colour, like BMW Deep Sea Blue, and the Tenorite Grey as well, always looks good.

Personally I think I would rather go SE though and get a nice light interior, the black is really dark...

Not really.

It's on a 12 + 23. So it actually works out £175/month for a 2 year lease.

Or £4,200 total, £2100 per year.

Its good enough to satisfy the criteria of the car having Nav. You can enter a postcode and it will take you there! Yes Pro Media is a lot nicer but its far from essential.

Auto and Leather too, they are quite generously equipped these days compared to before.

I went for Tenorite Grey in the end, was going to get Palladium Silver but my wife preferred the grey, I have a boring taste in car colours so either was ok with me.

No real deals on the SE though.

When you look at the whole list of deals the e350 amg premium plus sticks out like a misprint, far cheaper than many of the poverty spec models. A bottom spec e220 se is £50 more yet lists at 12k less.

I'm colour blind, so naturally seem to choose the left field choices. I often can't tell blue from grey from silver.

I'll maybe take the better half to look at some colours. My next door neighbour has a grey 2011 e class, and the guy over the road has it's identical twin biggrin.

E350 estate deal mentioned above works out at £10,091.71 for 2 years (6+23 10k)

I have a E220 BlueTEC SE Estate Auto on order on a 3+23 with 15k per annum @ £436.79 incl vat = £11,356.54 for the 2 years.

Given the far higher list price, the E350 is indeed a nice deal

Totally agree, even going AMG and paying the extra for leather works out cheaper than the 220cdi SE.

Surprised this has not caught on, perhaps because it's a 9+ ?

Yes, I thought so. A much more satisfying drive than the E350.
