Nation vehicle solutions have a golf GTD for £1500 and £158 on a business lease 5000/year and 6p excess. Anybody seen better than that?

I should point out, I don't need a diesel or particularly want one but I'm not waiting til April/may for the R and I can't seem to find anything better/similar for the money.

Mine is due in to the dealership this week, so I thing delivery will be next week. I went for Mineral Grey/Oyster leather.

Pretty excited about it. I'm sure it's going to be a lovely think to cruise around in.
Mine is glacier silver with oyster leather. Perhaps I should have gone with black leather on relfection?! Not getting delivery for another month though. Make sure you post pics and your thoughts next week! Good luck.

Will do. Who did you order through? When did you put your order in? I don't actually know what dealership mine is coming from. Just had vague updates from Gateway 2 Lease.

Nice colour combo. It's just a shame the Mineral Grey is a pain to keep clean. Just as bad as picking it up as black

Never really looked into a GT xDrive myself (currently have 330D sDrive Saloon) but if the deal is right then this could be a neat little mid-way point between something like a 5 or Merc E. M Sport Plus is a real treat though - very much up for that, and think will make the GT look even smarter with the bigger wheels. Right now BMW are struggling to source the brakes for the M Sport Plus pack so any new orders with it are dating out a long way too...
It's to my understanding the brakes aren't the main problem, but it's in fact the 35d engine itself and the two tone 442 alloys on the M Sport Plus Package. We had an email not too long ago to advise any of us ordering those options would need to allow longer than usual. We were told a 30d with M Sport + would be normal lead times however; so not too sure what is actually causing the delay.

I am G2L as well who, so far, have been very good. I ordered in August and requested December delivery due to existing contract on current car not expiring until then. I went for a few other extras - folding mirrors, arm rest and black panel display.

I went to lease a qashqai in June which worked out at £1800 upfront and £278 a month. Looking now, they are £170+vat a month. May not be a massive saving but that is some discount in a few months.

No more golf ones either apparently. They have to be delivered/completed etc by March and there lead times are now April.
Is that on bog standard golfs or the golf r?

The books still seem to be open on the R deals. Many people are ordering on PCH through dealers and they are quoting April for delivery so surely their can't be a March cut off. Have you officially heard otherwise?

taking the order and honouring the deal are different things. The vehicle order to VW isn't tied to a specific consumer deal. If it is unable to be registered before the cut-off, then the dealer will either have to try and convince the customer to pay more, or cancel the customer order and the sales manager has a fantastic new demo. Hmmm.

I don't know if there is a march cut-off, but there will at some point be a cut-off so it makes sense. I did call this out a couple of weeks ago, that it would be likely to happen soon. Hopefully people will get their cars, but tbh if you've left it till this late to order after PH banging on about the car for 6 months then maybe you need to have a word with yourself smile

As above, 2 companies have told me that the cars must be delivered in march 2015 at the latest and anything after that won't have the same deal.

The policy is any sold in Q4 must be delivered by the latest in Q1 2015. Now in the event that the car hasn't arrived, I'm sure VW will allow the deals to be go through. However, knowing and working with the underwriters in the past, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't and gave them an excuse not to supply cars.

There's no telling how VW will handle the situation. In their view it's the dealer's job to manage expectation and mitigate the risk of a missed cut off. They shouldn't have to bend their own rules just because dealers are still selling cars that are looking pretty certain to not be built in time. Cars ordered from pretty much now are looking like they won't get built in time.

True, but at the same time, if it comes to that and they know the car won't arrive in time, they can de-tag the cars and VW UK will be left with a huge surplus of Golf R stock, and mostly basic spec which I'm sure they won't want.

And then the dealers would still be in the wrong, but would be even bigger dheads. As a dealer it wouldn't be worth the hassle of pissing the customer and VW off simultaneously over what you already know is scotch mist.

Not always, we've got a deal going on at the moment. They MUST be registered by the end of Q1, otherwise the support goes. You might be lucky and squeeze a couple through in the first few days of April, but don't bank on it

Hi guys - can you post up who this is through? I'd be very interested in taking a look.

Currently looking into BMW 330s and Merc E350s. I'll be doing big mileage per year so know that the cost will go up, but this seems like a good base to work from.
Check the xs mileage rate on the BMs.
