...before I sign, is there anything better out there?!
That seems great. I was looking at these and Golf GTDs. Where's the deal from?

It was from New Car Deals as above but it's been a pain to sort. Apparently Skoda changed the residuals at the end of October so the deals are very difficult to get. Mine was from a previously saved proposal...humm. There is an odor of cod!

I have a couple of PCP deals on the table for an M135i, there should be some equity left in the vehicle so you could knock that off the ownership costs. Anyone know roughly how much the difference between BMW GFV vs PEX?

48mth term:

£3332 deposit, £340 per month = £19,312 or £4828/yr

24th Term

£2950 deposit, £380 per month = £11,690 or £5845/yr

Can send you details of dealer if anyone is interested.

that was 10K per annum.
How do people get into leasing if you've got a car to Pex? Do leasing companies take it as a deposit?
The deals look better on lease vs PCP @ dealers - i.e M135i is £2.2k down and 385/mth

Sell it first I'm afraid.

On leasing4business you can get a 5 series BMW for around £350 per month (10k pa), although that's 4 years which feels like a long time to be tied in.

The only issue I have with these leasing deals is the mileage limit, the rate for 10k per annum is fine, but when you crank that up to 20 or 30k a year it's bloody horrific! I've got a company car at the moment as I do 40k+ a year, but if I change jobs to one where there's no car then I'm screwed as it goes from 3+23 of £220 a month to 6+23 at £450 month. Balls frown
But surely any job that requires that amount of miles would actually give you a car? Or at least a car allowance?
My current company car is a 'perk', most of my mileage is personal (I commute 110 miles everyday). Even taking work out of the equation I'd still do more than the allowance frown

Forgive my ignorance but would someone take 5 mins to explain exactly how leasing through a business works. We've always bought cars ourselves as we don't do many miles but with wifeys coming due to change I should investigate.
A VAT rated business we have so don't need to worry about the VAT - the mileage work/personal I'll thrash out with my accountant.
For the sake of argument I like the sound of the 335d xdrive touring or an s4 avant.

So there is a deposit and for 3 yrs at 10k a year they seem to be around 450-500 per month +VAT

so it costs dep + 36 x 500 for its use. So 18000 +dep for 3 years (which is tax deductable)in a new car worth 45k.
Does this include road tax/insurance (doubt it), maintenance?
And at the end you just give it back?

So what I missed?

Lings Cars is currently doing the Octavia vRS Estate diesel on a 3+23 for £274/m which is pretty damn good.

http://www.lingscars.com/Skoda/Octavia_Estate/1973...

Nationwidevehiclecontracts.co.uk had the new Golf GTD (basically the same car) for £290, but the initial payment is nearly £1600.

You can only recover 50% of the VAT.

Wife will have to pay BIK tax on the car.

Considering going for this A6 s-line deal.

http://www.fleetprices.co.uk/personal-lease-cars/a...

or

http://www.fleetprices.co.uk/personal-lease-cars/a...

Working out at less than £315 per month for a £33k car for 24 months.
What are the thought of the PH population?
Has anybody seen anything that can come close to that?
I would rather go for the 3.0 if I could find a deal of similar value

I got a good tip from a friend of mine who sells these lease deals. He shifts a lot of Golf GTD on a 5k per annum deal. The reason being that if you go over it is only 6p per mile. So the extra 5k per annum is cheaper in 6p per mile than opting for the extra at the outset.
