We're both wrong wink It's actually £137pcm, which doesn't sound quite as appealing as £39.99pcm.

Seen better on the Fiesta as per below link..

8k miles £647.88 Deposit + £107.98pm.

£3131.42 for 2 years. Cracking deal.

In comparison, I got a 1.6tdci Zetec-s through work with a few options for £1000 deposit and £200pm. Think the options came to £33pm. That was with a 6k p/a limit.

This was before I discovered leasing.
What site did you see that on? That's a pretty good deal!

Yep, that's a proper misleading deal.

£39.99 advertised, BUT

only 18 months
£1375 + VAT up front

Works out as

£1650 inc. VAT up front
plus £815.80 inc. VAT in further payments

Which is in total £2465.80, or £1643.87 per year, £137/month.

Still cheap, but not amazing, considering they had the much better 1.2 Flair 5 door with air con, alloys, etc. (£12k list as against this ratty thing at £8k) for £144/month with 10k miles, so actually cheaper than this when you add on the mileage charges.

Sneaky administration fee hiding in there, missed that!

That Golf is an incredibly good deal imo

10k lease would work out at around £5,200 over 2 years or £215pm
Good enough that I've propped myself for one for March, with the DSG at £10/month extra.

It'll replace a Merc E220 which is great but overkill as a commuter on a fairly slow route.

Only problem is that I've just moved so I'm not on the electoral roll yet.

BMW 4-Series seems to be decently priced here for higher mileage users. Struggle to find a 2-series for this sort of money.

Just had a quote off them on the Golf for 18K miles. £138+VAT with £1500+VAT upfront. I make that about £2800 per year or £233 per month. Pretty tempting!

Cheaper than pretty much any other Cayman deal by quite a margin

Thats £444 inc VAT and they wouldnt have been PDK models I suspect. I have been tracking Cayman lease prices since Feb as I have an employee that I want to reward and I think a Cayman would do the trick. Typically the personal lease rates are just the same as business plus VAT on these.

Doesn't the BIK make this quite prohibitive?

Rough with smooth, its a cut throat industry, well rewarded for those who are excellent but takes no prisoners if you fail.

The key is retaining the good people. For some its just salary, for others its more tangible like cars.

TBH £500 or £600 per month extra cost is nothing if the person in question generates £1m pa more than his colleagues
