Rough with smooth, its a cut throat industry, well rewarded for those who are excellent but takes no prisoners if you fail.

The key is retaining the good people. For some its just salary, for others its more tangible like cars.

TBH £500 or £600 per month extra cost is nothing if the person in question generates £1m pa more than his colleagues
No, but on the other hand it is a terrible deal.
That lease works out at £27k over the 4 years on a 41k car.
If he is that good, just buy him the car.

May be cheaper to PCP it in your name and let him use the car?

Thinking of changing my ageing BMW for something newer so for someone unknown reason I booked a test drive in an MG6 1.9 diesel which actually impressed me quite a lot.

On returning the car to the dealers they advised me that there was currently a lease deal available on these particular cars which would cost me a £600 up front payment & then I would have to pay £199 per month for 3 years.

Now, ignoring for the moment the 'is the MG any good' debate, is this deal any good?

I have never given leasing a thought before now so does anyone know of any other decent deals, without a big up-front or end of lease payment, that are currently on offer?

Cannot finance due to my jobs being zero hours contracts so its either lease or buy another second hand car.

Presuming that's inc VAT, I guess it just depends if you're happy to pay £216pcm for three years for an MG6? Not exactly expensive, but you can have better value cars over 2 years than that.

Inclusive of VAT & 'limited' to 18k miles per annum.

As I said, I hadn't thought of leasing so I will be looking around to see what's on offer.

18.000 miles per annum for £216 per month is good though for what I've read on this subject.

For 54,000 miles that sounds pretty good.

Thats £444 inc VAT and they wouldnt have been PDK models I suspect. I have been tracking Cayman lease prices since Feb as I have an employee that I want to reward and I think a Cayman would do the trick. Typically the personal lease rates are just the same as business plus VAT on these.
Porsche Cayman Coupe 2.7 2dr PDK Auto Only £399.99 was though Central UK.

8,000
Come Home Function
18" Cayman Alloy Wheels
Automatic Air Condition + Active Carbon Filter
Sports Seats
Universal Audio interface

not much cheaper but cheaper none the less. Like previous posters have said the cost to "rent" and inc BIK, you'd be better buying on a PCP.

Really enjoying the GTD so far.

It was delivered on Tuesday by a lovely couple who spent a long time showing me all the toys and gadgets and setting it up for me.
I'm still getting used to it, but it's perfect for my needs so far.

£1300 deposit
£213pm (inc vat)

I'm not sure the absolute base spec Cayman is going to be much of an incentive. The problem with leasing Porsches is that they're not very well equipped as standard, and Caymans can look a bit challenging in bargain basement spec. That deal is for a car with 18" wheels, solid paint, leatherette seats, no Nav, and no bells or whistles at all (rear wiper, park assist, heated seats etc). Add 20" wheels, metallic paint, leather interior and nav, and that adds £8700 to the price. As a lease, they just split that over the term. That adds £180 a month to the cost.

By the time you add a pay rise to cover the BiK, this is going to cost well over £1000 a month (probably quite a bit more)

Depends whether or not the employee is a driving enthusiast. If he just likes trinkets and toys, he will be disappointed, but I can't imagine anything worse than a bling Merc or Audi and would love a base spec Cayman.

On the other hand, I'd be disappointed that I didn't get the 3.4S...

Believe it or not you can like driving and a good looking car. A Cayman in base spec is a plain looking thing. Most people aren't driving gods and might expect the sort of spec you get on most exec cars when they're driving a Porsche.

Has anyone had any dealings with a company called All Car Leasing? I contacted them last week and they haven't gotten back to me yet. The deal i was looking at was this one;

Skoda Yeti Outdoor 1.6Tdi Elegance
Deposit - £827.94
23 x £137.99
£199.99 admin costs

(All figures plus VAT)

£210.08 per month for 10K miles.

Great deal but no luck in getting it sorted!!

Or has anyone else seen a better deal on a diesel Yeti?

it's funny because the way you photographed your car enshrouded in that huge diesel cloud, it almost looks black and white! smile

it does sound like it's straight off the mid-sized firm company car "executive list"

Popped into the local Seat/Skoda dealership today.

Girlfriend wants a cheap runaround.

They offered a white or red Skoda Citigo SE on a 0% PCP. £99 then 41 payments of £99.
3 years free servicing. Delivery late Jan.

Also. For immediate delivery, a silver Skoda Citigo SE on a 0% PCP. £129 then 41 payments of £129.

No fees/extras on either deal. 1 years VED included. (£20 a year after)

All sounds good to me. What do you chaps think?

Thanks

What happens after the 41 payments?

You hand it back. Or have the option to buy.
There's a guarenteed value given at the start, if the car is worth more, you get that equity value off your next car.

Is that all good? Not really looked into leasing before.

A car with warranty and no servicing costs for 100 a month. What's not to like?
