It is a shame your website doesnt actually list deals (yet) - what is the cheapest auto deal for a 4/5 seater car ? like a focus or golf.

This is my issue too - we want to move this year and the new rules take your monthly outgoings into consideration - I don't know how car leases are considered by the banks, but I suspect they just look at the monthly figure the same as any other loan. As I've said before, I had a Golf R on order that got cancelled - if we had not decided to move house before VW gave in and the Golf R deals can back I have reordered despite being seriously fked off at VWFS' patronising treatment of me.

I still keep an eye on lease deals and contribute to this thread as I love a bargain and helping other people spend their money! smile Also keeping an eye on the market and understanding all the tricks etc keeps my toe in for when I am ready to lease a car.

I could be wrong about how car leases are looked at when applying for a mortgage, so maybe we should be asking our resident Mortgage expert the question - a guy who offers advice in a similar way to the Broker appears to be claiming - I spoke to Liam (Sarnie on PH) after he posted an awesomely detail response to my Mortgage MMR question and he will be sorting my mortgage out for me once I am ready as he is the best mortgage advisor I have spoke to - there was no pressure to use him but he was so forthcoming with quality advice.

I can't vouch for The Broker, but I'm happy for people to post advice on here and answer questions if they are genuine and honest about their self interest, even if it does get them business. The cynical will say (and I'm usually one cynical SoaB) that this is their approach - offer advice and then benefit from gaining business - but it would soon get around the forum if someone like this was useless - It takes a lot of work to reply to questions on PH, and even if they gain some business, there is a good chance people will take their advice and go elsewhere, so it's not always a clear case of complete self interest.
I speak as someone who applied for a mortgage before and after the new rules came in.
Before we got a £100k mortgage through our bank( were the cheapest, not just loyalty) no problem. After the most they would lend us was 12k!
If you think you're going to be pushing your lending to buy the house, buy a runabout for a year. No payments on your profile (they take EVERYTHING in to account now, I was asked how many times s month I go out to eat!) and the dent in the deposit won't restrict your buying power as much as the drop you'd take with the lease payments.

My partner is looking for a Fiesta on a lease - a 5 door in Zetec trim (engine size not important) - The best I've found is from Lings and is £157 a month (and about £650 up front). Are there better deals out there (small up front payment is preferable really) - I haven't been in to Ford themselves, but I suspect that they won't be better than that...

Can anyone point me in an alternate direction or is this the best I'll find?

There are some good deals coming up on Mercedes C and E Class along with some good value BMW 5 Series according to a chap I know at Arval. You would need company car allowance or business miles paid for to get PCH on them though

There are some on Freedom, site says 64 plate cars which look like a slightly better deal. I havent done the maths when adding in the fee.

Have a look on contracthireandleasing.com. Can see the 1.25 Zetec for £420 down and £140 per month, and the 1.0 Ecoboost for a little more but still within your budget.

Thanks - I've submitted a quote for that

I've had a look and there are some good deals on that - I didn't see the 1.25, but I did see the 1.0 at £149 (and 447).

Thanks smile

So now you've taken over as thread monitor? As far as I'm aware people are free to post whatever they want in the thread providing it's lease related. What's the problem?

Just had a quote back: £149 a month, 3 months up front and no document fee on a 1.0 zetec from "Elite Vehicle Leasing".

Anyone heard of them/used them?

No, it's just a pain in the arse to have to go through someone touting for business and deals not getting posted. I think the mods will have a similar view about his approach.

This is called "Best lease car deals available", that's what should be posted. I understand, of course, people will ask questions etc. But to use it to profit ones self is naughty.

I can't do PCH, I can only do MB business users, if it's BCH drop me a PM and I'll see what I can do. If I see the deals go live I'll pop something up although I don't do much on Arval so keep an eye on the usual suspect sites.

Thanks FastBug. Yes its PCH (I am taking car allowance and business mileage from employer).
I'll keep an eye out. Is there a few sites that you know are heavily Arval-based?

The problem is that this thread isn't "ask the broker". To be fair to the guy he's said he's set up just that thread elsewhere. Topics are topics and if you start saying "people should post what they like" then it's at odds with point of having topics at all. The idea that anyone trying to support any sort of structure instead of chaos is somehow wanting to be "thread monitor" is just stupid primary school bullst. In fact, is telling everyone they can post what they like NOT being thread monitor yourself? This is really childish.

The problem is people like you pushing their chests out and speaking on behalf of people who don't want you to do so in the first place. I have never actually used this phrase before but you really need to wind your neck in, you're one of the most tedious and self-satisfied posters on this website, which is a real achievement.
