Some have a clause in them which states that if you exceed your stated annual miles by x% in the first x months then your vehicle could be repossessed.

I suspect this clause is to avoid the exact scenario being discussed; stating a very low annual mileage in the knowledge that paying the excess will still work out cheaper.
Also some people have wives who insist that if you're going to exceed the stated mileage you should leave your leased 330d at home and commute round the M25 in the old Focus that's supposed to be her car.

Leaf deal
I'll forgive you as its not a Lease :-) been looking at these and thats a good price.

Would like higher mileage. I will speak to my local dealer who I had the 7 day test drive with.

Sound like a good deal on the Leaf, half the price of an equivalent i3.

Wonder if you dare use the sat nav, bose stereo, all round camera, heated heats and steering wheel etc as it will reduce the range!

Sat nav, stereo, lights etc.. take a tiny amount of power.

Its the heater you have to be careful with.

Had mine for test drive for a week in December and it took a few days before I found the ideal way to heat the car and keep it heated for my commute while using the minimal electricity.

Yes, your right... thought I might fall foul of the thread police who patrol these parts smile

I actually wanted to buy an i3 but the price was massively more when you add a little bit of specification.

The spec of i3 I wanted was costing £32,500 after government grant, and the RV suggested by BMW was £13,500 after 3 years. Even if you take account of the 100% write-off against corporate tax, the equivalent cost to the leaf is over 3 times as much.

You've got to keep the mileage in check though, otherwise you're just a pawn for the lease company and earning them extra money every mile you drive, and that would be a rook-ie mistake. Bishop.
Some deals work out cheaper to take a lower mileage and go over the allowed amount.

Read the paperwork. Complete the paperwork. Send it back ASAP. Ask for ETA from the leasing company. Sounds like they already gave you one but you're dragging your heels completing your end.

Edit: A week sounds about right for finance. It's not just like buying something from a supermarket shelf..
I have not got the documents yet, i was just wondering what they were for since i have already answered a lot of questions over the phone and online via emails.

My ST3 was delivered on Wednesday but wasn't a stock vehicle so took just over 2 weeks for delivery. I did say I'd wait for a 15 plate which gave me time to sell my current car, being blue I'd be very surprised if they didn't find one in stock somewhere.

What was included in your 180 pm deal? I got mine for 190
Is that 2 weeks from your first email or call regarding the call or 2 weeks after you sent the documents back? Guy said they only had 1 blue one left and its pre built but not registered.. if i wanted a factory made one i would have to wait 8 weeks. He said would be a 2 week wait if i went for this pre built blue one.

Sorry it was originally:
£1080 Initial Payment + £180 a month + £180 Fee so £5400 over two years.
But with the style pack they bumped it up to £193 a month. Got the admin/handle fee down from £180 to £50.
£1160 Initial Payment + £193.42 a month + £50 Fee so £5659 over two years.
£259 more expensive for the style pack.

Audi never had that clause in my pals A4 lease a few years ago , he had 15k pa , but a change of circumstance ment he did 8k in the first three months and ended up sending the car back with approx 65k on the clock , nobody said a dickie bird and he just paid the excess charge.

Eta: still there.
I'm new to forum and just posted a call for advice, then been trawling through last few pages of lease deals to find there is someone who can help, TheBroker, then saw your and talksthetorques comments.

Perhaps you belong in the what makes you think nob thread, I for one will be grateful for his/her help, as perhaps they will know what they're talking about rather than just being an arse.

Now, any good deals on a Lexus NX?
If you're going around calling people arses, perhaps you might care to join us?
Now, the NX.

You're looking at 500 pcm in total. I don't know if that's a great deal though particularly, or just a normal price.
With leasing, it's generally the case that you either wait for the car you want to get to the price you want to pay, or you pick the type of car you want and see what's cheap.
You might be better off PCPing

Bigger deposit, but nicer spec?

Anything kicking around right now on the qashqai that's particularly good? We're getting quotes for pcp but leasing could be the answer.

Needs to be 10k mileage or a bit more. Preferably petrol. Wondered if anyone had seen anything recently before I go hunting, never done this before!

Good deals in this sector are on tiguans (tiguii?) at the moment. But www.allcarleasing.co.uk is a good site to mess around with deposits and mileage, and the QQ deals seem cheap too.
