Hi

I am currently looking for a small car lease deal and would very much appreciate any info / knowledge that anyone here may have.

Budget is £150/170 per month and 10,000 miles required.
I have seen on Tilsun Group a deal for a Audi A1 sport for £161/month on a 24 month lease and 10,000 miles.

Any thoughts as to if this is a good deal or any alternatives very much appreciated.

Thanks!

Is that including a deposit or not?

Hi, the deposit on the A1 is £1620 + VAT.

The budget of £150/£170 is on top of any deposit, we currently have a small car which would be sold to fund the deposit.

Thanks

Anyone done a lease deal through Skoda (not through Simpsons) and got them to match the deal?

FYI - got around £230pm to spend (cash allowance after tax) - doing around 10-15k a year. Evoque is our family car and I need a reasonable saloon or estate. VRS is currently the one ticking all the boxes... but not sure, the Volvo XC60 looks a cracking deal too!

Why not go for the Octavia Scout - seems a much better option than the vRS - cheaper, 4WD, better spec as standard inc. NAV.

Other than the vRS being a bit more powerful and sporty looking, I can't see any reason to got for a vRS over a Scout?

Is the XC60 the 4WD version - I'd feel really silly getting stuck in the snow in something that looked like it should be 4WD!

99 times out of a 100 a 2wd car with winter tyres is more the sufficient for snow in the uk. People with 4 wheel drive still get stuck in the snow btw. Its the UK not Siberia.

We've been comparing the Touareg to the XC60 (which is a similar price at a like-for-like spec) and the Touareg is a far nicer car, in my opinion. Engine is extremely refined, it's pretty quick for a large vehicle. Honestly can't think of a Skoda or Ford that come close to comparing to it!

fair enough, i personally think the volvo looks cooler than the vw plus its cheaper.

Also i wasn't trying to make any direct comparisons to the touareg, i just wouldn't pay that much for a family car. I'd rather have a Kuga X Sport and cash in the bank but am a cheap skate and i dont need a huge car. Different strokes...

No preference to be honest, it'll be a workhorse back and forth along the M4 corridor as and when I need to commute between South Oxfordshire and Weybridge area - and the rest of the time when visiting clients. Despite working from home and London (for which I get the train), I've no other real requirements and will be around that 10-15k mileage mark. If the Scout comes with more equip as standard and is comfy, then that might be the better option in this case.

No preference on dealer, but the nearest to me seem to be Ridgeway in Newbury or Oxford areas. Though happy to travel for the right car or deal.

Might be there are other better options from other manufacturers, but the Skoda deals do seem pretty good for what you get!

So I see that as up to ~£5850 to spend for a 2 year lease in total?

Always best to look at total costs when deciding the right deal.

I wouldn't want to have to spend another £600-800 on winter tyres for my bargain lease deal that I would be sending back in 2 years.
