It really isn't a complete no brainer.

It won't need a service within 16,000 miles (and it it did, it'd be the cheapest oil service, so not £15 a month over 2 years) and it certainly won't need front pads - mine is inline for doing at least 30-40k on its front pads.

The reason why the maint option is so cheap is because it's quite literally money for nothing. They know that unless you are unlucky enough to get a puncture the car will require nothing within the lease period.
You must drive like Miss Daisy.

My cars lead a very hard life and for £360 I am covered for everything.

A complete no brainer

You're leasing a 520d so I hardly think you'll be entering NASCAR races or chewing up the tarmac with it! 16k on front pads would be unbelievable, surely?

I think you are vastly over-estimating the servicing requirements of these cars. We have two in the family and neither eat a set of front pads in 16k miles!

Well either way its covered so I don't have to worry about it.

Certainly expect to go through a set of rear tyres in 16-18k miles.

Also if you're unlucky enough to have a duff clutch, or something else consumable goes tits up, then the fight is between BMW and the lease co. Peace of mind for not a bad price. I don't suppose 2 nice wide rear runflats are too cheap either.
However just for accuracy....

(9+23) x 15 = £465.

Just spotted this deal for the Golf R estate. Not bad considering it is a DSG. Shame there is no manual option. frown

Also very good lease deals on the SEAT Leon Cupra at the moment.

Visiting the webpage it now says £189 + VAT (9+23)
Which makes it the same price as most (non-AMG Sport) SLK deals over the past few years
Misleading Ad, as they show the AMG sport but actually that spec car is £222+vat pm on their website. Still a good deal though

Odd, have you officialy ordered yet?
Yes, they said yesterday they were awaiting a response from the finance company. I am going to chase shortly, but don't anticipate any issue - we just ordered the wife a new A3 at the same time and that was just fine!

How does this compare to the fire sale on hatchbacks a couple of months ago? Tried flicking back a few pages but can't find the figures.

Their deal on the S3 sport back isn't too bad either, but it's a 6+47

My Golf R 5dr manual was ordered mid/late October and is roughly £2500 down and £180 a month inc. VAT on 10k, its just under £6600 total cost. Still waiting for the fker though.

As a company car driver I'm quite interested in this but have yet to find any recent reviews or real world mpg numbers, so if you've seen any please post up a link.

TIA

Seems odd, I was quoted 8 weeks for a new Golf R from my local dealer just last weekend.

The waiting list is literally 8 months now, which is ridiculous.

Any better deals than this on an Evoque ? I'm happy with 4 years as it will be used for family duties. The engine is the 2.0 diesel, is this the new engine ?

Why? The lead time to scale up factory capacity is a lot longer; they have been very popular. Would you prefer that they raised the price to reduce sales?

I hoped to get a cheap freelander 2 deal for my wifes birthday in december as she always wanted and turning 40. Of course now new Discovery Sport so you likes that as well.

Surprised at how little price difference between Freelander 2 or Discovery sport? Very new to leasing when would be a good time to look at leasing Discovery Sport and what is reasonable cost?

Ii am self employed so might add to my fleet as i could use it for business..............or man maths says porsche macan diesel s

Thank you in advance
