Stable have some decent deals - anyone got any experience of them?
I sent them an email yesterday about an R estate but haven't received anything bar an automated email to say they'd be in touch within 48 hours.

I have no experience with them but if you look at their website they claim to be the leasing arm of a main dealer group I think!

They are based in Liverpool though....... smile

I placed an order for the Golf R on 20/10/14 and the car arrived in the UK yesterday. Probably won't get it for a further 2 weeks..

You've been warned!

6 months sounds about right, but it does of course depend on what you were led to expect. I'd like to order an R estate and want it for next March, but going off the recent stories, when on earth do I order it?!

Central have what looks like a decent 535d M Sport deal, 9+24, 8000 miles

Saloon £343.19 inc. VAT total £11.1k Equivalent £5.6k/yr, £463/mo
Touring £363.59 inc. VAT total £11.8k Equivalent £5.9k/yr, £491/mo

A bit cheaper on 5000 miles (£319/£338)

Not sure on the excess mileage charge, have asked.
Does anyone know what happens to the price on the 5 Series deals once you add Professional Navigation?
Have a look at nationwide they have similar deals slightly cheaper at £336.33 as per the above for 9+23 over 8k miles, which amortised works out at £448.44 or £10762. This site is configurable
http://www.nationwidevehiclecontracts.co.uk/BMW-5_...

Not sure what professional navigation is? Read the spec it says business advanced nav is standard and doesn't show professional nav as an option?
Do you really need sat-nav on a lease car which has a 5,000 miles per year cap? You're never going to be that far from home if you're limited to 100 miles a week are you!

I'm going to be looking to replace my Volvo V60 soon, are there any lease deals which cover 25k miles per year on something similar, or at that level am I best of buying and owning?

On the subject of excessive delivery times, is there anywhere that has a good selection of stock cars?

It's more that the interior of the car was designed for the Pro Nav - the screen is larger and better to use, it's used for the entire range of infotainment functions not just the sat nav. I've got it in my current F10 so if a decent value lease was to pop up to replace it, I'd not want to downgrade from what I currently have.

Obviously you'd do more than 100 miles a week and then pay the excess mileage charge.

The link I gave defaults at 8k miles pa, it is configurable for all mileage, increasing to 25k increases the monthly rental by about £150, not too obscene IMHO.

Edited to add

Also if you are doing that mileage then the 520d has to be the way to go. Then that works out at £515pm for 24m, less than £70 a month more than the 535d above but 17k miles pa more, No brained IMHO.

Anyone spotted any of the cheap small runabouts recently?

Fiesta / Adam / 500 / Corsa etc

Small engine, nothing fancy - for the wife to commute in.

Ideally one of the much touted £99 per month deals if possible!

About to take my first lease car - a Golf GTD 5 door DSG driving

Lots of talk about gap insurance - could people comment on why it's so important on a lease car?

I'd say it's so much cheaper than any other deal I can find on that car, that I don't believe it's real.

I'll literally eat the dog if it's a genuine deal.

That is very cheap but for 5k miles, why would you ever get the diesel one?
